Center Screen won’t turn on, system update or deeper electrical issues?

Like the message says, center screen refuses to turn on. Battery is showing 12.5v on accessory and 13.5v on the alternator. Seems normal for a 12v right? I’ve done the seek right + power for 10 sec and seek right + volume down for 10 sec. Both don’t work. The dark horse entry animation won’t play on the center and weirdly enough the USB-C and A ports are flickering. Anyone had this before? Any fixes before I take it in for Ford to look at?

Try disconnect to reboot ? As in disconnect the negative battery cable for 5+ mins.

Just gave it a shot, still won’t turn on. Maybe a display issue? Bc it seems as though the radio responds to input commands. It’s skipping, pausing, and playing audio right now, just no display.

Have you checked for water intrusion?

There was a recent over the air (OTA)update that was pretty large for an OTA on the APIM (which controls the center screen essentially). I’ve had a few customers have the same issue. You could manually download it onto a usb and download it yourself or if available Mobile Service. If you’d want to DM me your vin I can check and confirm if you’d like.

I have an appointment with the dealership on Tuesday, May 26 to resolve a similar issue. My navigation failed to load, my iPhone will not stay paired, and I get a black screen. I will report the results of the repair, if successful.

thank you my good man, I also scheduled one for 7am Tuesday, hopefully they can figure out what’s wrong? I had a 24’ GT and for 3 years sync 4 never had a problem. So weird

Yeah, it was the last update that didn’t load fully May 7th. The Ford dealership reloaded it, and all is well. They asked if I have Wi Fi, and yes, I do. So that’s disturbing.if didn’t load correctly.

Good to hear! I had an update, many moons ago, which disabled my built in navigation and would post the "visit Your Dealer" message. The next morning I had a "software updated" message and all was well. I suspect the car tried to update and failed but tried again and was happy.

I took my 2024 Mustang GT to the dealership on 2 different occasions for that issue and they are currently replacing the APIM. Hopefully I'll get my car back this week.

Yeah, it was the last update that didn’t load fully May 7th. The Ford dealership reloaded it, and all is well. They asked if I have Wi Fi, and yes, I do. So that’s disturbing.if didn’t load correctly.

I took mine in yesterday, they’re still working on it. They did an update and it still didn’t work. They said they’d call the Ford hotline to see if there’s a fix. 150 miles on it too. My 24 GT never had problems like this.

I wish it had. Because I had to do a full TCU conversion to replace the e-sim with a physical sim.

Final update guys! Car is fixed. Attached is the mechanics description of what went wrong. Apparently it was just a bad screen
