Unlikely a S650 will have a V8 as a GT, which is meant for entry level "performance". My guess a 3.5EB will be the GT motor, with the 5.0 being up trimmed
2.3T, 3.5TT. 5.0, 5.2

As much as it pains me, I think the V8 will become the niche engine. However, as long as it's remains an option for the duration of S650 (& S750, please Ford!!!) I'll be happy.

Topnotch's engine line-up makes sense......although I wouldn't be surprised to see the 2.7 Ecoboost instead of the 3.5. The 3.0 in the Continental has already shown they can get 400hp from just 3 litres!

Personally, I think either 2.7 or 3.5 V6s will be superb in the Mustang........but my heart will still belong to the V8s :)

Idk man that 3.5TT is vicious, especially if they can get even more out of it!

This is not going to impact the US anytime in the near future. They have different emission standards, different taxation rates based on engine size, different taste for diesel engines. They have different requirements for their vehicles (much better public transportation systems).

As for engine lineups, Ford has already shown they are reducing engine options for the mustang. The only additional option I can see in the near future is the addition of the hybrid into the model lineup....and even that is likely to use a variation of the existing 4cyl.

Dropping the V8 will just ensure that this car will be my last Mustang. I'll be buried in that thing, if I can find a big enough plot!

They are finally doing what other companies do for years? :D

You should also take a look at the Human Race stuff from Chevy, which is a step further than looking through AR glasses at the polygon model
