5.0 S650 or “Mustang” Confirmed by Ford

Honestly, this question still bugs me. If S650 is a '24MY then:

1 - Ford will have to skip the '23MY. Or
2 - The '22MY will end early (say July 2022) with the '23MY running Aug 2022 to Feb 2023.

It's been stated that Ford could not produce a '22MY Mustang in the 2023 calendar year. Of course, Ford could choose to end the '22 in December 2022 and halt production until the S650 start in March 2023.

It's called Mustang 5.0 fever since its launch in 2010. I wouldn't read too much into up as long as S650 is not revealed. They might change the name after the reveal.

I must be missing something. I don’t see anything referring to the S650. Just a chance to win a ‘23 MY Mustang. I didn’t fill my info so not sure where it takes you after that but nothing about the next Gen Mustang.

That isn't true, read what you uploaded. Only one mention of 2022 as a MY in fact in the PDF and the rest of it refers to 2023 MY. This is now vague based on typos, if not deliberate.

GM with the Corvette is starting MY23 in May of '22. I'm sure Ford won't hesitate to do similar should it be expedient.

Personally I would shelve the S650 until >Oct '23. Or if it's just another mild makeover "nee MY18" then they can release it for production starting Oct-Dec '22 and frankly nobody except Kool-aid drinkers will really notice. For the sake of those still trying to get GT500/Mach1 delivered that they ordered 6+ months ago, I would hope Ford wouldn't screw them over yet again for a yawner.
