I brought my 2025 GT 6 speed in for the water intrusion recall 10-3-25. I read somewhere the parts aren't available until 2026 Q1. Then the dealership said they could do it now. At check-in, the dealer said they needed the car a day, then they said 3 hours: 1 for sealer, 2 for drying time. I'd sure like to know how Ford goofed on the design.
Hmmmm goodluck, my car has been in there for over 3 days now waiting for the “sealant”…apparently it is hard to come by. Goes from “parts are available” to “we don’t know when the sealant will come in by” real quick

The dealer said they have the sealant. I watched as they started disassembly of the top cowl.

Set up to drop my car off this morning after they confirmed they had the sealant yesterday. Turns out, they did not have the sealant. Looks like next week they will have more and I can try again. I have been driving in quite a bit of rain and wash my car way too often but haven’t had any water intrusion yet.

just want this done and new wheel well liners so I can get back to the fun of driving this thing and not having to worry about it.

I have my car today for this recall at my local dealership in Springfield VA where they said that parts are not available. I assume they do not have sealant in stock. I will try other dealerships in the area if they do not give me a date for when sealant arrives.

Adding an updated NHTSA document published by Ford to the agency, this is inclusive of the remedy procedures/photos.

A supplement was also recently published expanding the recall population.

All the best to those dealing with it, I know this wasn't fun when my car was down pre-recall for this issue.

I do not know why dealers are so difficult with this recall. The one in Springfield VA did not do it after they had my Mustang all day cause “parts are not available and have no info when they will be available ”. Luckily the dealer in Alexandria VA will inspect it on Thursday. Hopefully they will do the recall and earn my future Mustang maintenance business.
I understand from the recall literature that even if inspection shows no water leaking still the sealant application needs to be done.

For some reason we now have multiple threads going on this. I just saw pictures of the "fix" in another thread, and all they do is slather seam sealer on two places and it looks like absolute shit.

I just had a major down pour with my car outside and went to inspect for leaks. Both floor boards and kick panels are dry as a bone. Unless it just goes behind the kick panels and doesn't make it to the carpet, I don't seem to have any problem. No way am I taking it in for that hack job fix.
Darn, I was waiting to see if you would be Phoenix area test mule for the recall. After looking at the procedure I can hear the complaints of broken, missing clips, bent scuff plates, rattles and scratches. Not to mention that butcher job scuffing the paint to bare metal. Who is going to pay for the rust damage. So far I haven’t seen any leaks with my car.
BTW, are you preparing the next round of storms coming our way? My Mustang will stay parked in a nice dry garage.

Got this one as well (Europe). Strangely I don't have the recall in the FordPass app, but it's on the website account.

Mustang 2025 - Multimatic 😲 This means that GTDs are affected too. 😲

They already confirmed that the GTD is affected, and expanded the recall to them.
