I'd like to get this resolved one way or the other, but given the numerous reports of dealers having problems getting the job done properly--and since the car is kept in a garage--I've deferred it for the time being.

I since I had issues with my selling dealer on an oil change, I called another dealer about getting it done and they provided no help on weather they've done one or what their process is.

Hoping someone in my part of the state has had it done successfully and will pass along the name of the dealer--thanks for any help in advance.

I had my 24 GT recall done at Fred Martin Ford (Now called Cochran Ford) in Austintown Ohio.
No problems, dropped off at 8 AM picked up at Noon. I never had any issues with their service department. I bought my first GT in 1983. I have bought 8 vehicles there over the years.

What is the deal? I was under the impression that Ford changed the fix to a water intrusion inpection at the BCM first. Then if the fix was needed it was done. Ford requires photos to document the fix. I wouldn't think Ford wants to pay for a fix that maynot be needed.

I was told there was no water intrusion, however my is kept in the garage year-round. Very seldom out when it rains. They did follow the procedure, hose the car down to test and made the repairs. Possibly the mechanic did not like what he saw and made the repair without the BCM showing any signs of a problem to date.

Thanks for the replies. When I asked the second dealer write up guy what the process was it was clear he had no idea, he replied "we'll check it out".
I really just want to talk to a service mgr. at a dealership that is familiar with the recall and knows what to do.

I have a 2024 GT.
i’m not going to do the recall.
I get my car washed twice a week, it sits in the snow, it sits in the rain and I never drive in the snow or rain
I’ve never had a problem, so why mess with it My dealer said leave it alone.
if it’s not good, don’t fix it.
