My 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost developed a noise best described as “farting” especially noticeable at idle. I hear the noice coming from the engine bay when I am sitting in the cabin but not so clearly when I open the hood and listen to the engine.
There is no performance impact except a slight...
I had bad luck so far with three dealers. First one gave me the car back after a day saying parts were not available. Meaning the sealant. The second one, I called and told them what I need and what the first dealer told me and they said bring it in we have the parts. At check in they said no...
Unfortunately parts are not available in 3 of my local dealers. One of them told me they got parts earlier this month (sealant) for 5 vehicles and waiting to get more in a few weeks. With several thousand Mustangs sold it appears this will be a long process.
I do not know why dealers are so difficult with this recall. The one in Springfield VA did not do it after they had my Mustang all day cause “parts are not available and have no info when they will be available ”. Luckily the dealer in Alexandria VA will inspect it on Thursday. Hopefully they...
I have my car today for this recall at my local dealership in Springfield VA where they said that parts are not available. I assume they do not have sealant in stock. I will try other dealerships in the area if they do not give me a date for when sealant arrives.
Does anyone know if 24C35 is the same recall as the 24V802?
I got an OTA update for 24C35 but when I check my VIN online it still shows as recall incomplete and to visit the dealer. Very confusing.
The remedy for the Black instrument panel cluster ipc screen is now available. In six months I own the Mustang it happened only once, 10 min after I start my driving. Turning on and off did not fix it. However, after 4 hours it worked fine again. Now I need to find time to make the appointment...
It works well with fresh pavement marking lines and I like it when it works. However, many times I am fighting the system when it does not follow my steering and fights back. Especially when I am trying to get to right turn lane.
Remove both belts and test without them driving any pulleys. Does the noise go away?
If there is no noise without both belts, the issue Is in the belts and pulleys system. Install one belt and test again. Is the noise coming back? Replace each pulley not yet replaced on that subsystem.
If you...
$30k in 6 months is a lot of depreciation. I was shocked with $45k depreciation in 6 years on a 2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance from $70k to $25k today but the Mustang GT is taking it to another level.
According to online sites like Edmunds the depreciation on first year which is always the highest is $5,585 on a $34,428 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost. That is about 16% and while the GT has only 12% still it is actually better than others like a Tesla model 3 AWD at 38%...
I have a non-premium Ecoboost. Do you think that if I buy a used S550 visor with Homelink for $80 will it work? Do I have the required electrical plug? Is the whole Homelink module included in the visor or there is another module on the car which I might not have?
I recently drove a 2021 Tesla model 3 LR AWD that a relative bought for $21,000 and I was impressed. Note this version of the model 3 is not their Performance model but a mid level trim and it looks like plain vanilla car. However, it has 0-60mph in 3.7s, 1/4 mile in 12.0s and drives and handles...
I hope is something as simple as a wheel that needs balance. When the top is down the car is expected to behave marginally different in its structural capacity to dynamic vibrations.
I was in a similar situation between a brand new Mustang Ecoboost and a similar price used Porsche 911. I went with the Mustang because of the new car warranty and the technology compared with the old and presumably high maintenance but otherwise respected 911.
The C8 corvette is impressive in...
