Tire sizing on stock 2024 PP Wheels

2024 GT PP.... I need new tires asap. My Pirelli P Zeros are giving out at a whopping 5,000 miles and with the temperature dropping soon I want to switch to some good all seasons. But I want something bigger than the 255 front 275 rear that came with the performance pack. The wheels are 19×9 front and 19x9.5 back. Anyone have any idea what the max size tires These wheels can handle? I can't find a good answer online, so what's everyone running on their own vehicles?

I really want the 275 instead of 255 in the front but that chart says 9" can go max 265, my back 9.5 is 275 max 285 so looks like I'd need bigger front wheels at least, damn, why couldn't they give the PP the DH larger wheels

For many years tires sizes have been the same all around., mainly to make rotating them easier. Not long ago, cars began having "staggered" size tires as they provided better handling, traction and performance. Race cars, etc., have had staggered tire sizes for years....and as more and more performance cars were being made, it made sense to stagger the sizes.

Ugh yeah I need to start thinking about replacing mine on my EB PP soon too. I only have 5000 miles and the tires look fine but being up here in NJ I don’t want to push it with the temps getting cooler over the next month. So much for that $1000 bonus I got at work last week!

I didn’t realize the GTs and Dh had staggered setups. The EB PP is same all around IIRC.

I’m following. Looking to go with 285 rear and 275 front? Looking to get more grip. With 355 in auto. Breaks stock tires loose easily on the street. Any stickier street tires I can daily drive. The car is great to drive as is. Pretty quiet not looking to change that either.

No complaints at all about the Nitto triple 5s. My GT is a daily driver/grocery getter with occasional vigorous highway passing, and spirited back country curvy roads. Very confidence inspiring. They stick and the GT handles wwaayy better than with the OEM Goodyear 265 all seasons. I heard from a couple of Track Day friends I respect the triple 5s aren't that good for their kind of usage. Good luck with what ever you go with!

Hello, I know this is an older thread, but besides the chart provided no one really gave any real-world examples. I too have the PP 19x9 and 19x9.5 with the 255/40/19 and 275/40/19. The thing with the chart is for example I have a 78 Malibu that I have ran a 275 on a 8 inch rim for 25 years now and i know the chassis may be a issue with the bigger rubber, but the rim size alone in the chart seems very conservative. My tire on the Malibu definitely has a little bulge, but looks great and has worked great. I am now looking to replace my tires and move up some in size until the day I go aftermarket for the wheels. The Whipple has to come first. Has anyone successfully put larger tires on these rims and if so what size did you go with. Thanks for any info you can provide.

You may get away with one size wider... personally, I would stick to stock size on stock wheels... for reference the non HP DH uses the same 255 in front and 275 in the rear... on wider wheels... 9.5 F and 10 R.
