I just thought the picture was fitting; the gas can emblematic of the topic matter and actual fire representative of the topic matter in the context of how these types of comparison discussions go on internet fora ...

This is exactly what I am thinking of doing. I wanted to have a street rim/tire combo so that the stance is the same but nobody makes a 10.5 front rim that I can see. I may end up taking the Trofeo off and putting the Pilot Sport 4S on the handling pack wheels.
I run 11 inch rims front and back with no issues on 305 30 19 MPS4S (that are wider than the Trofeo of similar width) with no issues. It's a popular setup. Apex wheels has a 11 inch fitment guide for our Mustangs.

The GT is an awesome and very capable car for street and some track use (if you modify it, can be a very capable track car).

The DH is an even more capable car for aggressive track use (wide tires, camber plates, upgraded internals, upgraded suspension tuning, magneride, crazy aerodynamics for a street car (NACA ducts etc.), and massive brakes that I have not had brake fade on once. Yes, it's a heavy car, but on track it feels very nimble with precise turn-in and corner exit. I previously had a modified S550 GT and the DH is phenomenally better. However for street use, I imagine the difference would only feel marginal since you're not hitting the speeds and g-forces cornering like on track.

Really depends on what you're after. Both are great cars in their own ways.

As I am getting a DH, with HP, I'm thinking 315/35R20 (on 11") and 285/35R20 (on 10")

The pictures I've seen of the VF5 and VF10 look sharp!!! Just trying to make up my mind between them. Oh and also wait until I find out if the Rail Strike is going to bone my delivery as it keeps shifting a day every few hours.

Somebody PLEASE start another PPF thread. This thread is
Dumpster-Fire-Prop-1-800x800.jpg
Was this image from some sort of firefighter training? We used to do similar stuff back when I was a probie.

The backgound seems to have a jerry can as the accelerant and there is water all over the pavement around the dumpster; the exposures on 3 of the 4 sides seem pretty clear as well.

I've got old man eyes now however that bottom right, behind the dumpster, has something peaking out? Could also be a 38mm attack line with a nozzle ?

TL;DR: The picture is implying that this entire thread is a "dumpster fire" aka chaotic thread.

You got nothing. According to your profile, you don't own one.
You are right. I didn't want to pay 70k for glued on iPads. Or Camaro/Honda/Hyundai styling. I was hoping for actual useful digital upgrades though like a PDR and heads up options when they made such a hoopla about the interior overhaul.

Biggest difference IMO is the Tremec.
The newer MT82D4 especially with 4.09 gearing negates a lot of the edge of the Tremec and the reliability has gotten much better.

I guess the latest MotorTrend review suggest that the GT's Getrag M82 gearing is why the extra ponies in the DH do not help much the DH in a straight line drag race. Maybe the DH should have had more ponies to shine against the GT. Attached cut from MotorTrend web article.

Meh, if all you do is drag race you're missing the beauty of the manual Dark Horse. This is a pony that prances nimbly on all roads. Take it out on a canyon drive, or hit an apex on a track day, and all the discussion of quarter mile times falls away in the wake of its refined handling, exceptional braking, and torquey throttle response.

It's a car about the experience of driving it and the way it responds. If we're dealing purely in stat sheets, the automatic is faster.

As long as you don't get the auto.

Wild that you don't like the s650 and don't plan on getting one but you're always on the s650 forum.

I can't speak for him directly, but there are some of us mustang fans who just didn't find the s650 good enough to upgrade to, but are still fans of the car (mustang). It's still fun to check out the cars and discussions, and I would imagine it's the most active mustang forum to look for news about upcoming mustang models.

On thread topic, both the GT and the Dark Horse seem like great car choices, but if the Dark Horse handles that much better on track, it might just feel more agile even in daily driving, making it worth trying to drive both and see the difference?

Some folks like to whine about everything. Makes them feel better.
