You got a great price, $10k less than what I was seeing around here. When I got my GT last year it was tough to get a DH without paying ADM. So my $30k number was conservative last December when I took delivery. I don't see any DHs at dealerships around here ( Central Florida ) so I think it would still be hard to get one.
You won't always find what you want, when you want it, right around the corner. Sometimes you have to travel for the best deal. Last year, I drove from Michigan to West Virginia and back to buy a SXS that I wanted, but was in short supply around here. That's not the first time I've done it, and I'd do it again if need be - car, truck, SXS, whatever.

any one may or may not have been or not
This is something I instructed my dealer to do as part of PDI inspection. I put a list of stuff together that I want them to do and that I will check after was done.
Doing a full four wheel alignment is NOT part of PDI. If they do that for you at no cost, then you have an outstanding dealer. Generally, dealerships don't do work for free.

Understood. Money wasn’t discussed however it isn’t a problem. As long as it gets done.

I've said it before in other threads: everyone should get an alignment on their new mustang... all of the printouts I have seen from other users (mine included) had 3 times as much rear toe as the specs call for. This will lead to excessive rear tire wear! Ford warranty covers alignment within first 12 months/12,000 mile, so no excuse not to.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right? :)

The type of track makes all the difference in how cars stack up against each other. Tracks with long straightaways are going to benefit high horsepower vehicles, whereas tracks with lots of turns and heavy braking are going to benefit a lighter more nimble vehicle. That's why vehicles' track times don't fall in the same order as horsepower or power/weight ratio numbers.
So the 40-50lbs difference between the GT500 and DH is the treason?

Weight and horsepower are factors in handling, but not the only factors. Tires, aero, brakes, suspension, weight distribution and gearing all factor in to how a car performs on a track, along with weight and horsepower. Then the same car will have different times on different days based on weather and how consistent the driver is. Taking one driver's best lap time in two different vehicles on two different days is not the final say in which car is better. It's useful for comparison, but it doesn't mean another driver or another day couldn't end with different results.

I have a 2024 GT with PP, Auto, NP, active exhaust. MSRP $52,575 but I got Plan X price plus a $1250 discount so total $48,838 and that was last December. My car looks and drives fantastic and I get a lot of compliments and people often ask if it's a dark horse. I don't know if I could have got a DH last year which I doubt and if I did it probably would have been $30K more. I have 486 HP vs 500 and the tuning you get with the PP. So that's why I don't get the DH, enlighten me.
I don’t get it either. GT with active exhaust is actually 486hp out the factory door 14 less than the DH, but the DH is 122lbs heavier. It takes very little to bump the GT up 14hp and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper. I have the base GT with active exhaust and the A10 and I have now twice run up against a DH with the clunky 6 manual and beat them both times. So why?

The A10 convertible is faster than the DH M6 in a straight line, but that is only one metric.

Speaking for myself, I bought the 6 speed for an experience that is fading away into obscurity. I know it's slower in a straight line but it's far more fun for me to drive than just pressing my foot down.

The Dark Horse spec'd with handling package just hits different than any other S650 I could customize. With all things, I buy what I want if I can afford to and I wanted a Dark Horse spec'd with handling package :)
