I like the use of the stool... better than the console or lap... and I have one just like it!

Do you drive it regularly? You driven it around in the past week?

Were you showing a GWM update available?
No. Just BCM and PCM. Both updated without issue.

Weird no GVM or APIM update.

Doing the truck now:

No go in MI, either. We have to drive out of state to get it ... but it's worth the trip!

They aren't issues. You (and they) simply don't understand how the OTA process works.

OK, I'll keep to myself from now on.

Buh, bye,

You just have to understand these aren't phones. You don't just press a button and update to the latest and greatest.

If you want to get all sore over being told that, I can't help you. *shrug*

Yes, 1-3 times to office(50miles to and back) and couple of times to shops/groceries

Waiting to see how it goes with your FDRS session...
Everything has been updated in the car and truck.

Dark Horse: Had BCM and PCM firmware updates waiting. Applied both. Initially, a few modules reported DTCs after these updates (common), but clearing and retesting those, all are perfectly fine and I have no updates waiting for it in FDRS. SoC was 92% when completed (I run a Clore Pro-Logix fully-automatic smart charger in power supply mode when I'm programming).

I now have the '67-68 gauge cluster available for selection.

And not that anybody cares about non-Mustang content, but I also updated all the outstanding firmware waiting for my '21 F150 Platinum. There were a ton, including PCM, ABS, CMR, IPMA, PSCM, DSP, and HVAC. I don't recall, but I think the APIM had an update, too. Several of those are prep for the next gen BlueCruise 1.4 functionality, IIRC.

Several of these updates actually update many more than the main module. the IMPA (Image Processing Module A) took at least an hour and a half. PCM (Powertrain Control Module) was a long one, too. I think I was programming for the better part of 4+ hours yesterday. Even though I had my smart charger in PS mode, I was programming so long that the SoC went down pretty low. It wouldn't let me clear a battery voltage DTC for the ABS module, so I called it a night, put the charger on the truck and let it sit overnight. This AM, I was able to get that DTC cleared and update the only remaining module (HVAC). Performed a reset on the BMS (Battery Management System) and it was showing 88% SoC -- not bad for a 2 year old battery (it was replaced back in 2022 when the dealership was trying to enable BlueCruise on my Job 1 truck, which was a bear).

Made a few new FORScan changes on the F150 as well. I love customizing my truck ... :)

All in all, it was a good day and a half and well worth the $53 for the 2-day FDRS subscription.

Nice...

This will be my first with the Ford module programming... I have done plenty of GM. The "old" S550 probably has a load waiting... just not quite sure if there are any to avoid as it has the FP tune on it. Of course the S650 likely has a couple. Guess I should have enough to make it worthwhile for the FDRS subscription. I also want to try some FORScan changes with the new one as it gets a bit more figured out.
I have a Clore Pro-Logix as well, and just picked up the Supergoose plus to interface w/Ford. (Had the old GM only one). Also picked up the FORScan recommended adapter.

Don't underestimate the amount of time it will take to apply module updates.

Connect your negative lead to the bare spot/bolt/whatever on the frame, not to the battery negative terminal.

I would put it on the charger the day before and make sure it's nice and full.

Yeah I am familar with the (long) module update times... was similar with GM... definitely where the pro-logix charger comes in handy. The S650 is on the maintenance charger as it is the rainy season here... should be all charged up.

Tune is in the PCM, so avoid that one. Or call them and see if they have the updated tune. If they don't have the files, I can get them for you to send to them so they can have it in their database. They'll be ready before it gets sent out OTA.

No OTA in queue at this time, but these are the modules pending updates. That GWM is 6.4.0.
