Stereo stays on for much longer after updating. Should stop when door opens. Does not.

I noticed that too. The first time I thought I had double tapped the start button when I shut it off, lol

I took mine to the dealership today as I too was stuck on 6.2 with no options to update. It took them 2 hours, but now I have 6.3.2. The bummer is I now have to re-enter all my settings and pair my phone again. But worth it I guess.

What about future updates? Will they automatically happen?

The dealership said they should automatically update. But if they don't bring it back in and they will do it. Seems inconvenient, but we'll keep an eye on it.

Yes, but the OTA process is unpredictable; no way of telling when it will be sent to any particular vehicle.

So i went and looked at my 24 GT and it states i have software version 23306_product. When i look at my 24 Ecoboost (base) it has a different version (forgot to annotate which one). I have everything checked to receive automatic updates in both vehicles. When i got to the website to check to see if i have updates i see this screen on both vehicles, so does this mean I have updates and something is preventing them from being pushed? Also when i click where is says click here, it just tells me how to turn on automatic updates. Do i currently have the correct version? I tried to ask Sync customer service but they didn't know and gave me a number to reach out to some OTA customer service hotline, which I haven't done.

Don't bother calling the 800 number. The bag boy from your local Publix knows as much about your car than they do. Attached is GSB 23-7146 sent to dealers advising them of the latest Sync for all Sync 4 vehicles. 23306 is the latest for your Stang.

There has been a few updates since March so not sure 23306 is the latest anymore...
As well my fresh off the line vehicle is reporting 24058 on fordpass.
Does this match a 6.*.* version ?
Being a UK model it'll be running that version for a long time as Ford doesn't really update sync in the EU. (Seems to be once a year with a 6 month old version)
Yeah, not sure my last update that I know of was 6.3.2 which was the 67–68-gauge cluster theme. Looks like there might be a difference in the UK. Could have been other updates since then just have not looked at it.

Sorry for my ignorance and if it was answered before; where do you check the version number?

To check what Sync version you're on, you would need to navigate to the "about sync" page in your touchscreen.

If you want to check the last update you got, you see that in the "software update" section by checking for updates. If it says you are up to date, it means you have not gotten any updates sent yet or haven't gotten any in a while.

Thank you. There is no available update but under “about sync” I didn’t see any version number starting with 6.x.x

But when I check my connectivity settings, I got the spinner for a few seconds then it went back to the previous screen without showing the details. Somehow I also got managed to get this error as well (attached)
