I do REALLY like the ND Miata... but I'm a tall, overweight American man. I don't fit comfortably in them, unlike the American sports cars, like the Mustang and Challenger.
I am a neat little small package :D so size wise the MX5 is great from that aspect! But it lacks some power unfortunately (in my opinion) :(

Also having two kids it many times means no fun car for daily activities :/, only done 10500 miles in my MX5 since I got it new in 2019 (dont drive it during winter nor rain :D though) hence why a Mustang is a great choice as it ticks many boxes

You guys think dark horse will be backed up for a while? You think they’re limited runs?
My dealership is FULL of preorders for them. I was told that I'd be waiting at least a year, likely longer, to get myself a DarkHorse, but the GT will be much sooner (more like September). Apparently it's the same story everywhere else. It's gonna be a very, VERY hot commodity

Yeah, it definitely feels peppy, but it's nothing compared to an American V8. And that's what I felt about the BRZ/GR86 too. It seriously feels like a bigger Miata to me, and it feels like it has the same power of the Miata, but the weight/size holds it down.

As for the BRZ and GR86, they just don't catch my attention. They feel like a bigger Miata, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But it lacks wow factor, to me. An old coworker of mine has one, and it really doesn't impress me too much. The price is definitely better than the Mustang, and you definitely get what you pay for. But I don't really intend to buy one.

Also I will never bring myself to own a BMW. I cannot with the maintenance on those things!
+1 on the BMW maintenance. No more for me.

As for the BRZ/GR86, I didn't think much of it, either, originally. But then I got a chance to drive one extensively (previous generation) and it really grew on me. It is a fantastic car to drive, just a lot of fun. More impressive than it's appearance or specs would indicate, in my opinion. I owned my BMW at the time, 450 hp or so, and the BRZ was simply more fun.

Come on now, the bmw is nice, I’m debating an m2
At least the M2 looks better than the M3/M4. And I'm sure they'll make the M3/M4 less beaver-y (I know there are aftermarket solutions already). I'm still not buying another BMW, though. One was enough.

I didn't drive the BRZ extensively. 15 minutes maxiumum. I also used to be a Toyota tech, so I got to drive a GR86 every once in awhile. Maybe I should give it a 2nd, fairer chance. Depends on if I can get one as a rental or not.

A friend has his GR86 incoming. Will be fun to test it out, he has gone from an ND -> 718 Spyder -> GR86

My MX5 is pretty sorted out (ppf, coilovers(changing existing ones to Ă–hlins R&T), will get larger sway bars in soon, A052 Yokohama tires, carbotech pads, Motul RBF fluid and some exahust mods and interior mods). No engine mods but it sounds nice and drives really nice on and off track.

But a V8 is a V8 and there is no way to get around that, I enjoyed hooning around in my GT as much as I like to drive the MX5 with all the weight difference and all.

Bought a 22 used Camaro SS convertible with 6spd manual . Found it felt more responsive and handled much better than the current gen Mustang. Cost a lot less than a 24 Mustang as well. Will the S650 Mustang be any better?

Final year SS 1LE. Beside the ergonomics of the car like visibility and crampish inside (from what I hear I am 6’3) , I have always loved chevy engines and Id like to have one for once.

Not only am I taking a serious look at the 2024 Mustang GT Premium Performance Pack Mustang, I am also cross shopping the BMW M240i XDrive. The only colors that interest me as far as the BMW, are Portimao Blue and Thundernight Metallic. Anyone else cross shopping/wishing at the same time?

Versus the 2022 Mach 1 Mustang - which is by all accounts except on track, much slower.

Cars on my list included the CT5-V Blackwing (purchased
if only they'd sell one without the supercharger...

It makes no sense to can the Camaro and only produce the $$$ Caddys on the exact same line. Lest I sound like some of the DH desperados around here, I'm going to bet the Camaro will get re-launched as the CT5V with current corvette stingray NA v8 , or a CT4V with I4 and LT1 v8 and requisite down-market interior. Uses all the same parts anyway and double or triple the demand.

I was cross shopping a wrx until I felt how gooey the shifter felt. Getting a dark horse instead for the tremec. I owned a 21 Mach 1 for about a year. That shifter feel with the mechanical linkage was chefs kiss.
