Gotta sing the praises of one of those products which is basic, and ubiquitous, but excellent: NuFinish. I've been using it for 25+ years. Easy to apply, easy to remove, and it provides a tough, high-gloss finish which is long lasting.

Some enthusiasts will scoff at NuFinish, because it’s a common consumer product found on the shelf at every WalMart, Target, and hardware store, and it only costs $10 bucks. But I think it’s great -- effective, accessible, very proven, and most importantly: it produces beautiful results. See for yourself!

I second your opinion. I use Nu Finish on my Shadow Black 2024 GT and the shine is impressive. I have wasted money on all the big-name EXPENSIVE products and nothing beats Nu Finish. I've used it on my daily drivers for years and yes, it lasts better than any other product. If you own a double action buffer or spend money at a detail shop you may get a better shine. I've been doing shows and cruises for many years, and Nu Finish has won some trophies for me. The more you put on the better the shine and the durability is unbelievable.

. . . . The more you put on the better the shine, and the durability is unbelievable.
I agree with this. I've found that with a brand new car, apply the first coat of NuFinish, then wait a month or so and do a second coat. The second application goes on and off so much easier, and the shine is multiplied greatly. Then, going forward, to maintain your coating just re-do it once in spring and once in fall -- and you'll have a great shine that lasts, incredible water beading, easy car washes where the dirt falls off easily, and just nice, effective, and durable paint protection.

The other pro tip: when you apply the NuFinish, let it dry to a haze, then buff it off with microfiber towels, just like you'd expect. But then, spray a light mist of plain water on the freshly waxed surface and wipe it down with a clean, dry microfiber. This seems to really even out and "lock in" your freshly applied coat of NuFinish. Chef's kiss!

This 4Runner is going on 10 years old, in Minnesota (which isn't easy on cars), and thanks to NuFinish the paint's depth, luster, and gloss all look like brand new 😎.
