Having had 245/35-20 on another car, I'm concerned that going to a 30 or 35% sidewall would be too harsh. The non magneride susp is borderline now for use around town. We don't have the smoothest roads in the world.
What thoughts?
For every day driving on city streets n highways, 40% sidewall would be less harsh, better ride overall. And with the number of potholes out there today, the 40 can absorb them better than a 35 or 30.

Exactly what I was thinking. Steering response is still pretty damn good with 40's

So for the oversized wheels how do you correct for the MPH?
Compared to Escort radar detector with GPS speedometer.
DH reading lower than actual speed per GPS
DH 30 mph ——-GPS 32
DH 50 mph ——-GPS 55
DH 65 mph ——-GPS 72
Faster I go, more DH is off

I'm running Conti ExtremeContact Sport02
275/35R20 on 20X10
305/35R20 on 20x11

The rears are taller than my stock 255/40R19s, but I love the look and the ride perfect.
Your rear tires still look nicely tucked which is what I'm looking for. Can you tell me the offset and backspacing for those wheels?

Hi Sean,

20x10 ET32 Front and 20x11 ET50 Rear

Thank you!
Thanks much. The setup I'm looking at is 10" on the rear with 52.5mm offset and 295/35 tires so I'm thinking I'll look every bit as tucked if not even a little more.

Not sure which wheels you are looking for, but I would just compare it with the OEM specs to make sure you don't end up having inner clearance issues.
These are what I'm considering. Says they will not fit but everything I've been told is that's because the TPMS is different which I'm going to replace anyway. Offset is exactly the same as the OEM performance pack wheels but each wheel is 1/2" wider on the ones here.
