Unlike the current model, the S650 Mustang will feature a flat-bottom steering wheel throughout the lineup, a Mustang-specific part that will be more sculpted than the steering wheel that’s currently included on the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. More specifically, sources familiar with the wheel stated that the flat-bottom portion will be a more prominent component of the wheel from the five to seven o’clock positions.

I just hope they upgrade the materials on the steering wheel. The 2015 was horribly bad, like painted cheap plastic, the refresh upped that a bit but still doesn't feel like high quality leather.

But a flat bottemed Wheel is nice, a regular one just isn't looking as sporty

Totally different price ranges, I don't think so. But since the Mustang6 is 8 years old when S650 launches, everything will feel like an upgrade

Great but do you guys think that the price of the s650 will be higher then the current s550?

I was looking at the s550 almost two years ago and ever since then the prices went up 2,000$ on all models.

I'm guessing the lowest s650 might start at no lower than 40k just like the new Z.

A loaded up S650 might be 55-60k.

Probably. If they want to sell the top end for big money, the interior needs upgraded and that probably means the base will come up. The best and worst thing about the mustang is its also a 30k car.

This is why they need to do more to differentiate the models

The price will be higher for sure, because that's happening for every car, but I'd expect the base model Ecoboost to still come in at around 30 grand or less. Maybe high 30s low 40s for a gt before options which is fair considering the performance you get for the money.
