We can slap an alternator or two (or more) onto an ice but we sure enough can’t do that with an electric car. You only get access to what you can carry don’t try to make no more. Ice allows me to offload requirements to individual systems. Ev all run from the same battery. It is said Evs are 100% efficient. If that is the case then they are as good as they’re ever gonna get. Maybe bigger and longer range but not more efficient. Ice on the other hand is said to waste the bulk of the power generated. Sure sounds like room for improvement. Something only 20% efficient and already this much better than an ev just wait until they start mandating forced induction ice.

I have lots of friends that drive exotics... they are all anti pure EV...

We all know EVs are faster...

But the lack of emotion... just make them seem so cold/ clinical

I work in the automotive aftermarket and have heard the fake exhaust stuff they are making in person...

It sounds ok I guess but not the same ..

It's like watching porn vs. Being with your significant other... sure it gets the job done ok... but it's just not the same ...

With any luck by then we will have had a new president that promoted fossil fuels exploration and recognized how awful EVs are for the environment. We need more efficient ICE vehicles, not EVs that need new battery packs every 6-8 years.
I mean, Ford and Toyota hybrids use battery packs, and are often viewed as some of the most reliable cars on sale. I agree, electrified vehicles have shortcomings, but they also have potential.

I’m gonna go with one the lack of gearing that make them feel so. Even if they faked it (since they’re into that kind of thing - uh hm cough exhaust sound) it’s the feeling you get when you think it’s done and then it shifts giving you more and then it does it again and again. It’s the awww it’s over, nope there’s more, that causes the smile.

We knew this before the s650 was even announced.

as it’s really just a heavily facelifted s550, it makes sense.

Ford gets to squeeze the existing olatform for more profit, ensuring the viability of the Mustang as a sports car while also gaining the benefit of buying time to see how the volatile EV market goes and decide how they want to power it.

really think the next Mustang is going to be something very special. The risk Ford took with extending the s550 into the 650 era means they care about the future of the car. Farley may not be mullaly, but he is far better than fields or Hackett and the guy seems to legit care about the mustang.

Little secret … the companies want EVs….Ford WANTS to make/sell EVs… they are pressuring the GOVT… to pressure the people.
The companies directly control this. They want you to believe that the government is forcing them… that’s not the case… they’re in control.
Kind of hard to believe. Where are you seeing this?

It is said Evs are 100% efficient.
Nothing is 100% efficient. EV's aren't even close.

Hydrogen engines have potential. And fewer shortcomings. Why isn't the government subsidizing them like electric?

Is there any chance they will continue the s650 but remove the v8? And go hybrid?

I could see them going with a hybrid option at some point. I wonder how much a hybrid Mustang would weigh, and would performance be enhanced with the electric motor or would the additional weight negate any gains?

That is beginning to change. The mood toward EV's is slowing and souring.
