At one time, GM's Tri-five Chevies were the most modified vehicles on the planet. Even today, virtually no other models have as much after-market support. From what I read here, I suspect that title will be bestowed upon the Mustangs from the death of the Fox body until now!

This is probably true, as you can practically build an entire Tri-five with new parts as well as put a new modern-design frame and put it under an OE body, fitted with disc brakes and coilovers all around.

By that measure, the GM 6.2L is the most desirable engine, if one overlooks their utterly abysmal reliability, tendency to blow up and GM's lack of support.

One part of me wishes I still had my 2015 GMC Sierra 6.2, but then I remember it had the clunky ass 8 speed.
