isnt this the user that would only ever post new threads with one of their videos linked in it? i mean, i was never a fan of them always making threads with videos, but they did not deserve to be driven off the forum like this. i feel bad

Dang....guy even went and removed his profile pic. Tough crowd.
i remember being online about 8 or 9 years ago, one of my friends who was 16 or 17 at the time went through this phase of every couple months "quitting" the internet, including removing their profile picture and bio. of course, they always came back and i am glad to report they are much more stable nowadays. my point is, maybe things just overwhelmed RCFMustang and they are taking a break instead of just leaving, but in the moment they just feel like leaving all together? there is an option in your user settings to delete your account, so the fact they havent makes me think this

...It is probable that car forums will die...
i think forums are on the decline very slowly with things like Discord servers becoming more and more popular. its not surprising considering a Discord server can have channels for topics, group those channels into categories, have threads on each channel, as well as voice channels and a dedicated "forum" feature. all of that is not mentioning server tags and custom stickers, emoji, and soundboards per server

This was wild. I saw the initial post earlier, but ignored it because I was at work. Just spent the last 20 minutes getting caught up and reading every post. My SIL does this too, where she throws a tantrum, deletes her accounts to make people think she's serious this time, then comes back a week later fishing for reassurance. Some people can't help themselves.
