The sad truth is, it is not just race ways, but just about all forms of racing. While still popular, drag racing and NASCAR are seeing dwindling crowds. This doesn't speak of the cost of each of these endeavors, which affect vehicle and track owners alike. And then there is the high cost of beer! When you go to a race track, and pay upwards of $10 for 8 ounces of beer, $5 to $8 for a burger or hotdog, and face 20 minute waits at the restrooms, you (me for sure) tend to stay home!
