Maybe we get some slightly updated bumpers but I would hardly call that a refresh...
Maybe like 2013? New front and rear clips, and one or two new wheel designs. Very modest mechanical changes.

If we get a refresh it will most likely be for 2028. We would have heard or seen something by now it it were going to be 2027.

Ford is in cost cutting mode right now. What ever we get will most likely be minimal. I suspect a platform change is coming for 2030 and they're likely putting all their eggs in that basket.

I agree with this. Ford is likely in pivot mode given all the policy changes that are making it quite expensive to manufacture parts outside the USA.

I imagine just as you mentioned they're probably going to forego a refresh and just make an entirely new car given the complications. It'd be more financially feasible to just do that, and should, in theory, also incentivize them to revolutionize the car.

Hmm interesting, might be the case, as I've heard Toyota has also stretched out product lifecycles ( Next-Gen Toyotas Will Now Last for Almost a Decade - Autoblog )

Makes sense automakers might all be trying to devise new cost-cutting strategies however possible. We're definitely already seeing it in Ford de-contenting the 2026 Mustangs

If a new platform does come in 2030 I agree any refresh before then would be minimal. However, cost cutting might also mean pushing a new platform further back. If the S650 runs as long as the S550 did or longer, I would expect Ford to do a fairly significant refresh (at least to the exterior styling) at some point to keep the car from getting too stagnant.

It would be prudent for auto manufacturers to hold off on making major plans until the future of tariffs, emissions, and economic outlook are more predictable. Sales are already slow and there's just too much chaos right now.

Any clues lately regarding MY2027 refresh/facelift? Or when might we find out?

Seems like it would make sense, and S550 got refreshed after 3yr, so it's about time. Trying to decide whether to trade/upgrade for a discounted leftover '25 or new '26 or wait a year for refresh.
We're starting to see Ford prototypes running around, so maybe we'll see something soon.

I haven't seen any clues yet, but I've been keeping my eyes open. When they do the mid-cycle refresh, I wonder if they will leave all the engines as they are? Since the Dark Horse SC uses a supercharged 5.2 V8, I wonder if Ford has given thought to giving the regular Dark Horse a naturally aspirated version of the 5.2. Keep the GT with the same 5.0 it has had, and give the GT Performance Pack the 500 hp 5.0 that is in the current Dark Horse.

Whatever else they change, I hope they keep Adriatic Blue for a few years, and that it isn't a one-year-only color.
Adriatic blue should be a multi generation color, it's that good imo.

My guess is the next platform will be a hybrid V8, a nice improvement over what we currently have. More performance, while still retaining the visceral feel, but doing more to hedge against strict emissions laws.

I don't see mustang staying pure ICE or going full ev as both of those seem like a death sentence. Some purists will oppose a performance hybrid, but there's a lot more acceptance for hybrids now than there was 10 year ago.

I believe the next gen is scheduled to release in 2028/2029 as a 2030 model year. It's my personal hope they reveal it for Ford's 125th anniversary in 2028.

Has Ford said that?

This is the most recent article I have seen on the topic. It says, "The report notes that the Mustang is slated to undergo a refresh in late 2026, followed by a redesign anticipated for 2029." But that was from last August, so who knows?
