Why are we even talking about Hybrid or EV mustang? Go buy a Prius. Then maybe a pink dress while you're at it.
Because like it or not its coming at some point. Your dress preference doesnt matter.

I think some people in this thread need to drive a performance oriented hybrid ... I have tons of seat time in the newer NSX .....base and have spent quite a bit drive my buddies NSX Type S ... the acceleration of an EV with the noises of an ICE... such a blast... If I didn't have 2 teenage daughters I would probably have my Mustang for sale to pick one up ...

You have heard of the Ecoboost Mustang right? 🤣
Apparently the Mustang I've been daily driving for years now isn't called a Mustang according to Mr. Rocket Man (and I'm sure many more hardcore enthusiasts would agree with him). I just was being tongue-in-cheek if it wasn't obvious. 😁

Re-read my post Mr. Rabbit. The theme was no EV or AWD. I just threw the V8 part in there. You yourself have said you have considered a V8 right? Your EcoBoost definately qualifies as a Mustang. Just a slightly slower and more efficient one :)

Im surprised we havent heard or seen anything yet.
If they're running something, it's probably not terribly obvious. You'd need to know what to look for.

I will say though, I've seen a lot of stuff driving around lately. I'm genuinely surprised we haven't seen any photos of anything in the news yet. Ford must have either figured out who was taking all the photos and paid them off, or they've disappeared for some unknown reason.

The only exception to the above is when FordAuthority spotted a DHSC Convertible. That was an interesting find.

All that aside, I feel it's probably too soon for a refresh. With the SC already on sale and production units to be sold before the year's end, and assuming whatever FA found in that convertible has any significance, we probably won't see anything major until the whole S650 cycle completes itself. I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️

It's hard to guess. With the S197 generation, they ran for five model years before doing a reskin and interior overhaul, then followed up with powertrain improvements one year later. With the S550, they did just three model years before changing a bunch of stuff.

At this time, Ford no longer has the Camaro to compete with, and the Dodge Charger is sort of in a different class now. The Toyota Supra has recently been cancelled. With fewer direct competitors, Ford may very well feel content to let things ride for another year or two before making substantial changes. I won't be surprised either way. I just hope that there will be a decent interval between announcing any changes for 2027 and the cutoff for ordering a 2026, so if someone dislikes the upcoming changes, they still have the opportunity to get a 2026.

Personally, I don't think it needs a refresh yet, it looks GREAT. Plus, S650s are still fairly rare to see around me. Old guys in C8s are WAY more common, but also a lot of S197s, S550s, Camaros, Chargers, and Challengers.
