Wondering how this thread aged… are the UK adopting the above mentioned legislation this year?

I hate the fact the UK gets a nerfed DH, I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to get a full-fat version whilst I’m out here. I’m not as much bothered by the drop in power for the UK DH as I am by the drop in sound - I watched Schmeee’s review of the UK manual 2024 DH today and damn it’s so quiet in comparison to the US/ROW version, very sad.

Would importing an Australian DH solve the problem whilst keeping it right hand drive (import taxes aside)? Or will UK/EU regs apply on private imports too?
OZ cars are gelded as well. Ours are full fat US goodness. Might not be legal in the UK though. When I bought my GT PP 18 months ago it was $NZ93,000, a DH $NZ113,000.

They should just go ahead and rename it the Dark Gelding in the UK.
