Well ok, slow is not the right term. It feels normal now. Happens every time I get a new "Hot Rod", it feels amazing for a few weeks/months/1000s miles then meh, Normal.

No plans to mod this one to scratch the itch though. Hoping to carry this one for 2 decades.

The problem with these cars is the gearing in the MT82. The MT82-D4 gearing is not ideal for performance driving. These things are also ”big girls”.

Had mine about a year now. The thing that nagged me at first(and still does) is the horrid throttle by wire response, 500ms delay drives me nuts. It is a heavy car, though once I get up in the 4K-5K RPM it is a beast. Problem is on the street, 5K + RPM's is sreamin for trouble

Everything’s relative I guess. My 2020 A10/3.15 GT premium convertible just turned 5,000 miles and feels faster every time I drive it. I have no clue why. It lives in track mode, period.

My theory is that these Coyotes pick up some muscle as they break in.

I have to agree. I wouldn't say these cars are slow but they definitely are easy to get accustomed to. They are well insulated and planted which gives a sense of confidence and comfort even at high speeds. Even with the 3.73 gearing in mine the get up and go is definitely not as snappy as I was expecting, but you look down at the speedometer after a few seconds and realize you are doing 90+mph without even breaking a sweat!

One thing of note I have noticed though is running around in sport mode definitely puts a little bit more pep in her step and track mode is DEFINITELY noticeable. I think they play with the throttle response a bit in those modes because at least the bottom end feels a bit punchier in highway traffic.

Having just got my S650 (and done a back to back with my S550) it is very clear the S650 has a less sensitive initial travel on the throttle pedal. It will just be a mapping change. Press harder and it is fine!

I enjoy playing around with the throttle response mappings in my Pedal Monster. It's a quick/easy solution for this kind of thing.

You can try different drive modes.

99% of the time, I'm in Sport+. Best times of the year are early Fall-to-late Winter, when the air is coldest and most dense. But even other times of the year, there's a definite difference in throttle response between modes.

Selected gear and RPM is going to make as much of a difference. Sport+, third gear (MT), 4K and steadily climbing upwards, the car starts to sing.

Best roads are a flat, parabolic shape, where you enter, steadily increase the RPM and speed all the way through, as in, "Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh." :giggle:

Does anyone know if a pedal corrector will work on these?

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage. If you would like any assistance with the throttle noise.

I have a pedal commander for my Raptor, but for a while it’s been off. It does help; there’s no real “normal” drive mode on a ’17-’18 Raptor, it’s actually the F150 “eco” mode. shifts are lazy and slow, 10th gear by 42mph and above 48mph, it won’t downshift out of 10th without 100% throttle. After the TSB reprogram it will at least downshift out of 10th at highway speeds, rather than try and boost out of the problem, but it’s still far from any other Ford’s “normal” drive mode.

Pedal commander is great at fixing that issue, up to a point. I think it’s P/C’s “city” or city +1 that basically flattens the normal mode throttle curve. City is as high as I like to go because it renders the other drive modes a bit ... touchy.

’24 MDH is much less affected by throttle by wire than previous years, so I’d not be sure what to expect on the Mustang.

I had one on a '14 GT and it was great, but not sure how they work with the uncrackable 24's

Hes not wrong though. The factory throttle maps are kinda meh, and by kinda i think they were programmed by an under caffinated sloth with narcolepsy. I use a cheapo amazon throttle controller it helps not sure if there are any better or worse than the more expensive ones.
