Expected but rarely planned, if they are manipulating the market doing a pretty poor job unless the losses are part of the plan? Get us to pay for our own enslavement?Wow now you’re showing your ignorance in business and manufacturing. Loses are expected and planned for in any new business model. So long as overall profit numbers are made the losses are just swallowed up.
Hah hah you said fuel.I do not know how old you are but your ignorance is showing. The move to alternative fuels started long, long before climate change became a thing. It started after the second gas shortage in the eighties. There was a fear that if the Middle East turned of the flow of oil a third time our economy could collapse. There were all sorts of alternatives back then, but electric became the front runner. It still is 40+ years later.
You just proved my point. Half of Ford's sales come from one country alone (U.S.), and it's most popular vehicle globally gets all of its sales from one country alone (U.S.).Yes, it does.
2024 Global sales for Ford: 4.47 million vehicles
2024 USA sales for Ford: 2,08 million vehicles
Is e85 corn based?I do not know how old you are but your ignorance is showing. The move to alternative fuels started long, long before climate change became a thing. Of course there are those on the fringe that are over the top and can be considered “hysterical“. But the great majority of those in concerned about the future of our planet are not.Can the reaction some portray regarding climate change be defined as hysteria ?
Losses are always planned. Have you ever seen a P&L (profit and loss) report?Expected but rarely planned, if they are manipulating the market doing a pretty poor job unless the losses are part of the plan? Get us to pay for our own enslavement?
Ignorance again. The term coined in the eighties was “alternative fuels”. It was used to describe any alternative to crude oil.Hah hah you said fuel.
Both. As in any global business one cannot survive without the other. So which country and vehicle do you think they care about most? Lol
Contingency is not a purposeful expense in regard to target profitsOf course there are those on the fringe that are over the top and can be considered “hysterical“. But the great majority of those in concerned about the future of our planet are not.

I’d sure hate to hear what the kids of today felt about the odd and even days of government enforced distribution of fuel… e85 corn?Of course there are those on the fringe that are over the top and can be considered “hysterical“. F150 is the Ford US cash cow.Ford's main business and what they care about most is the F Series trucks.
The rest of the world does not equal the U.S. when it comes to Ford.
80% of F150 sales are in the U.S.
I wouldn’t necessarily say irrelevant, I’d probably lean more toward underutilized.F150 is the Ford US cash cow.
F150 is totally irrelevant in most of the rest of the world.
As I said - Ford sell as many cars outside of the US as inside the US. They sell cars outside the US that they don't inside the US. Global company.
You're wasting your time with @Zig and @Mustang1987. They are just posting to post and that's fine. I'm leaving the thread and moving on.F150 is the Ford US cash cow.

As has been pointed out to you and others before - The F150 doesn't fit other countries. Far too big and fuel inefficient.I wouldn’t necessarily say irrelevant, I’d probably lean more toward underutilized.
Agree. Zig is more than capable of amusing himself without any other input. I wonder how many posts he will make before he realises nobody is listening! You're wasting your time with @Zig and @Mustang1987. They are just posting to post and that's fine. I'm leaving the thread and moving on.
I don’t think irrelevant means what you think it does. Which came first the f150 or the ranger? As has been pointed out to you and others before - The F150 doesn't fit other countries. Far too big and fuel inefficient.
