The fixture thing maybe a valued point. The image is a s550 that doesn't have the lower cutout in the inner fender well. Its hard to see if the inner well is installed but I suspect it is as the wheel and Brembos already assembled would make the inner well more difficult.

I know its a different body style, but you can see where the jig might need the clearance that ours have in the wheel well.
BTW, I installed the covers on mine today.

My dark horse is at the dealer. He’s putting the covers on. He said there was already sand and stones in there with only 5 miles on it. I’ll post pics when I pick it up this week. Just waiting for a warm day.

APPARENTLY FORD WON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE HOLES EXIST. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK FORD "IF THERE WERE AN APPROXIMATE 2" X 4" HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WHEEL WELLS BEHIND THE FRONT TIRES, WOULD IT BE ADVISABLE TO COVER THEM?" I'M NOT EVEN ASKING FORD TO PAY THE COST OF COVERING THE HOLES; I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THEIR EXISTENCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO MY 70k FORD PRODUCT!

There is a 100 % certainty that it will cause damage. The extent will depend on the roads you drive drive on, the seasons and the climate you live in. Also the duration you plan on having this car for. If you only plan on owning for three years it probably doesn't matter.

A simple plug / cap / fender well cover would suffice. Change the order of assembly (oh crap you realize what your asking) or create a small purposefully designed (with even a glimmer of a possibility for the reason) part that gives everyone piece of mind and problem solved. If they / we wanna say for aero then build a inward cap or design it so it looks like it could possibly potentially be for aero but then again it either shoots it down along a tunnel and comes out where or is directed to down and under.

…the idea was for water to run down the inside of the… and thru the… to flush out dirt,

a feature. Well, the first couple of leaves that went down there blocked it and the …
Reminds me of a sunroof.

An honest answer to this question would cost Ford millions of Dollar on claims. Ofcourse they are not answering this question, even if YOU pay for the repairs.

Thousands of others will and will eventually cost Ford a load of money.

- just as a piece of debris and a windshield wiper can potentially cause damage from correct usage - yes.

how about some expanding foam.....
Has anyone tried the Expanding Foam?
Maybe put a piece of window screen & Foam to make it stay in place?
Might be better than nothing.
I’ll be waiting a few months before I get mine.
Hopefully Ford will have a Fix?
Probably not.

I was thinking screen also, so moisture doesn't get trapped inside 🤔

You don’t want to use expanding foam because it will trap moisture.

one of the 7G members is manufacturing a fix for this -

This is the area directly behind the hole, there is a hole on the right, I'm guessing that would provide some ventilation.
