Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

I called one of my contacts at Chevrolet and this is what he told me about the new Camaro and actually sent me artist rendition that should be release if not already released...Here is the photo he sent me...To me it looks like the recent Impala...

I quite like how the 2016-2018 Camaro looks, but I can't see Chevrolet using its design cues wholesale again (or see the 2014-2015 fifth gen refresh if you want to go further back) for a 2028/2029 model.

My first impression with these renders are that the side profile in particular doesn't look like it matches, let alone compliments the 6th gen front/rear design. Then again, I'm not a professional car designer (I just do that as a personal hobby.)

IT WILL BE A 4 door sport sedan on the Alpha 2 Frame, it will have the LS-6 6.7 liter engine and will have 535 HP. Rear Wheel Drive, base engine 4 cylinder turbo engine, will have Tremec six speed, standard or auto, He told me something I suspected, he four-door Camaro may actually be fairly large — reports compare its dimensions to the old Chevrolet SS or Malibu rather than making it a small compact sedan, as I stated yesterday. What I find very interesting, is when he told me he knows Ford is planning a 4 door gas powered Mustang to be released in 2029 too. Appears the pony cars have grown up to sport sedans and this will restart the Mustang/Camaro rivalry once again but on larger cars. Here is the photo he sent me... To me it looks like the recent Impala. So Ford and Chevy are still at it beind doors....

Btw: folks voice concerns about the rear seat room with the current s650, but an although, the 4-door ats rear seat headroom needed a divot in order for folks taller than 5’ 6”.

Blackwing already has a tremec, granted it’s 120k. There are reports that say the next gen Cadillac V will get a NA V8 though.

Ford 4 door will have a mt82 I’m guessing

Agreed, I thi k they should just call it the Ford falcon, the 4-door that the mustang was based on, but I get that calling it a mustang will help it sell.

If Ford is wanting to take some of Dodge's market share (chargers), a 4-door mustang would definitely do that.

And I understand them wanting to market to families. I can only fit one of my kids in my back seat, because if I tried to put one behind me in the car seat I'd have to scoot my front seat all the way up, and that's not happening.

But if I were to own only one car, it would be a BMW or a Lexus, not a 4-door mustang.

Currently this version of the Blackwing DOES have a manual that is a Tremec 6-speed (TR-6060 family) and Automatic 10 speed. The Blackwing that is under development most likely will carry the same transi options as the current, but GM has not made any announcements yet.
