For my 2011, I got ripped off of $500 the day I landed at the nearby airport to pickup my vert, after I thought I had negotiated everything remotely. They said the liquid guard body protection (or whatever they called it then) had “already” been applied and couldn’t be removed, and the tires had...
The DH and M1 manual gears are shorter than the GT manual gears. Therefore lot more fun, reving and shifting more often through all of your trips. And listening to the engine as you do so.
Even if you don’t track them, they are the best fun cars if you love manual transmissions.
Found this closeup picture. I agree that they are unfit of a performance package.
And now I get why they are called «shadow-silver». Every narrow arch has more shade than the other larger ones next to it.
Bad name, bad design, bad package.
Reminds me of the 2011 pony package, which I liked a lot. Was just before every new performance wheel being offered as black or gun metal for some reasons that I don’t truly get.
Someone could have assumed that it would not be compatible with fire-resistant gloves.
Anyway, mine was a (/s)arcastic comment. Please ignore me on this one.
Yes, it’s a proper race car. But does it have dual touch screens? /s
I bet they shaved off another 5 sec below 7min by giving the driver extra buttons, instead of asking him to remove his glove and slide his finger on the touch screen to adjust his nitro mix.
Exactly my feeling. It reconciles me with the S650. And I am hoping that the S650 refresh and facelift a few years down the road will be inspired by this.
Given that the DH could be seen as a natural replacement for Mach1 or GT350 owners, what does the DH offer mechanically and performance wise that the Mach1 and GT350 do not have?
I would like to understand why this keeps happening on mustang7g.com. Lovely discussions often turn into people snarling verbal attacks at each other. That got me to move away from this forum back to mustang6g.com where cordiality is the norm. Granted, I do own a S550 and don’t have a S650 on...
Certain European countries have strict laws about sitting in the driver seat. Two that I recall:
You can’t start the engine if you don’t have a seat belt on
You can’t seat in the driver seat (engine on or off) if you are intoxicated
I haven’t heard people actually being ticketed for it but...
Yes, and once they address all the digital displays’ other problems (sun glare, black levels, contrast, bezels, etc), it will be a winner. They did an excellent job with the S550 digital dash to mitigate those shortcomings. It is unbelievable that none of those lessons and good execution have...
I don’t recall why I think so but I have held the belief that Ford had been producing exactly 19% of manual transmission Mustangs per year.
I am surprised they doubled the number.
For a speedometer, maybe, especially if the velocity of the vehicle is relatively the same while watching . But for anything else where interpreting the fast rate of changes to a value, a analog-like display with a needle is largely superior.
Assuming this thread is about Gauges, not just...
