Ford Mustang S650 - 60 years edition

Hello guys,

I know it is maybe a bit early, but I wanted to discuss with you about a potential 60 years edition model.

In recent years we have seen the 50 years and 55 years model (which I also own) respectively.

The 7th generation will be a MY24 so I assume a 60 years edition might be available for MY25.

With that short period, it might be a bit odd for early adopters depending what will be offered.

So what are your thoughts? Maybe just a special colour here, a special alloy there or are we going to see major differences?

Hopefully not. The 50 year edition was a total waste. Tbh that was really Ford's fault since they released it alongside a 50th appearance package and then made the actual 50th cars semen white

I think there will be a model above DH announced or a DH + GT with exclusive features. The stop-gap between 2025 and the Gt500 in 2026. Just a guess.

In the US, you just got a dash plaque.

We got that in Europe, too. But ours also came with effectively the Black Accent Package, different wheels, hood and rocker stripes.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, I searched it up and saw this orange one, but I was wondering why I have never seen or even heard of it.

I also have a 55 year edition. It stands out just a little bit from the GT, but the alloys are just a replica from the 50th year edition lol

What you also get is the black roof and the Carbon Fibre Interior with Alcantara seats as standard.

Strangely, UK cars didn't get those interior upgrades.

The 55 model in europe was just a PR stunt, it was identical to the "Black Shadow Edition" they had for export markets on the pre-facelift and for non-european export markets on the facelift it was also sold as the Black Shadow Edition again.

So I really hope Ford USA will make a real 60 years edition that includes more than just stickers and a plague.

Yep, I got one, a GT premium convertible.

I know because I have the little dash plaque and that’s it.

Interesting. I have never heard of the 55 year edition either, but was considering making a custom dash emblem for my 2019 that said 55th anniversary or something along those lines.

I have the 55 years plaque but the window sticker didn't say anything about a special edition. I thought all 2020 Mustangs or all GT's got the same plaque in the U.S.

Kind of goofy in my opinion that they did a 55 edition. Never heard of it before either. 25 and 50 make sense. The rest, not so much.

Agreed with frequency ... they've been doing the "anniversary" editions for quite some time, 20yr, 25yr, 30th, 40th etc...

While an every "5-year" isn't really a major milestone, I guess it means something in Horse Years....
