DH Recall - Now I can't collect my new DH (UK)

Hi Guys

I am based in the UK , I ordered a new DH that just arrived at my dealers compound .
I got the call today to say it's arrived but they also told me they legally cannot hand it over to me because of the wiper motor recall. Apparently the next DH that are coming into the country that aren't affected is in October/November..

Any help or advice is appreciated

Thats horrible. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do. You cant take delivery of a new car with an open safety recall. Do they have the parts to make this fix yet?

It sucks man shit luck , apparently ford haven't come out with a solution yet

Word is that the fix won't be until spring 2027... you may want to get one of the models available in October/November.

Looking that way, been told that a the proposed date for the fix is worst case but really unsure what to do , waiting till Oct/Nov will mean missing out on our precious uk summer months .

Yeah apparently it's a safety recall and my dealer told me my car is included in the re call

Really annoying seeing as though it's only the wipers but currently weighing my options...

Well it seems your destiny needs a good talking too. I love my Dark Horse premium 700A HP,AP Recaro,s and six speed Tremec. I hope things work out for you and you get your new baby soon.

In your position I’d want to check the VIN myself. Also, maybe contact Ford directly to see if they deem it a reason for the dealership to hold the car.

It would be a shame to have to change your forum name…

The mind boggles how cars coming fresh off the line don't have the problem and yet there is no fix for existing cars.
They've probably changed the supplier of motor which caused the issue but surely the part can be changed on a built car.

Mine went back to the factory after arriving at the shipping port which caused a similar delay nearly 2 years ago.

I wouldn't hold your breath on any October cars appearing I'm slightly surprised we're getting any my26 dh's at all after they struggled to shift the 24 and 25's to the point they were flogging them as last chance to buy we're not getting another one.

I got the wiper recall notice. It told me there is no known fix until....get this....March 2027.
