My local dealer also noted to September for the OKTB date so it seems to match what yours said.

Many "dealer" people know less than Joe Public on forums and with resources beyond. My salesman didn't know that the order banks were open, and disputed it with me back in May when I ordered. So.....grain of salt
Logic would tell one that Ford is not going to make thousands of cars with the same defect, or whatever the issue may be or have been on the line.. Those problems get ironed out in the early limited runs. Looks to me like they have a TON of them sitting at FRAP. I HIGHLY doubt that these are defective cars.
See. When they do a recall, they recall a hundred thousand of cars with the same defect. Ford or any company will never be perfect on the production line. They don't have the time for that. Ford is just trying to minimize the recalls this time since they had a lot lately. The ton of them sitting on the FRAP will have to go through a quality check before getting shipped. And if such cars have any issue, they will be dealt with manually sometimes.
Despite what Dealers and Specialists say, I don't think it's always about quality and issues. Sometimes it's about internal politics and numbers. Like when they think that the 3rd quarter is already good, but they need to boost the last quarter so they can look good on papers and to impress the shareholders.
Things right now looks a lot like the S550. So, a lot of things are pointing towards September. They'll probably need some weeks to release to OKTB, then some weeks for Shipping.
