Dave Pericak has ended his incredible 32-year career at Ford Motor Company, as he announced on LinkedIn. Among his many achievements and titles, Pericak was the Mustang Chief Engineer responsible for so much of the success of the S550 Mustang. Thank you for everything Dave, and enjoy your retirement!

I retired in August 2007, and I've made a couple of observations that may be useful to fellow retirees. I'm sure many have heard some retirees complain that they hate retirement. Well, here goes:

1. If you aren't enjoying retirement, you're not doing it right! It is your fault!

2. It is the first time in your life you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, for as long as you want!

3. See #1

Now make sure you get it right!

I am sure Dave must have worked with the director of Ford's "Advanced Product Creation and Special Vehicle Team" Mr. Thai Tang whose very interesting story was published in March 2007 issue of Winding Road Magazine on Thai's life and the new Shelby GT500.

It’s probably the highest on the technical side of things. VP and CEO are higher positions in decision making

SVT WAS revived and Dave WAS the lead. (SVT, Ford Racing and Ford's European performance division - i.e. all the RS cars - were combined into Ford Performance)
