DASH CAM for mustang Gt Premium 2024

Hi everyone,


I am looking for a dash camera that has minimal wiring and is easy to install. It should start recording automatically when the car is started. Additionally, all the footage should be accessible through an app without the need for a memory card, and it should be possible to copy videos directly to a mobile device from the app.

Just a note of caution......dash cams can work for and against you if there is an incident (wreck).

in the usa you dont have to self incriminate
you just say
oh no i didn't pull the card out before it got overwritten with new footage oh well sorry maybe next time

I have two ROVE R2-4K Dual and am happy with it. I have it installed on my Escape and F-150 with front and rear cameras. I haven't installed one in my Mustang convertible yet so will only get one for the front for that vehicle. The App works great. You go to settings on your phone when it's up and running to pair the phone with the camera on the camera's wi-fi. If you have an Iphone and the wi-fi setting says: "No wi-fi connection" disregard the message. That is shown in the manual but easily overlooked so you think your Iphone isn't talking to the camera but it really is.

VIOFO A229 Pro. Works great. Doesn’t like to sit and bake in the heat though, seems like that will send it into a on/off cycle until it cools off.
plugged into the rear view camera USB and just tucked the wires into the headliner. When I want a video off the cam, I turn on my phones WiFi and download (or screen record so it’s not such a massive 4K file).

But go with whatever you want, as long as hit has Sony’s Starvis 2 sensor for better night time recordings

i had good luck with the Viofo A229 Pro as well (until it started ruining microsd cards). do yourself a favor and do not cheap out on the microsd card. mine ruined a SanDisk Max Endurance 256GB and a Samsung Evo Plus 256GB. i have heard good things about the Samsung Pro Endurance cards

Yes such a shame I forgot to put in a sim card right after I caused an accident. Make sure it's got removable memory. Like all gopros.

Get the Fitcamx. Same cover that surrounds the rearview mirror and is powered by the rain sensor, so no dangling wires or tapping. Also has USB to run a small rearview cam. Waiting for mine to come in and I'll do a review.
