I need suggestions for plug and play dsp for more manual tuning, what to use for sound deadening as my door trim rattles (asked dealer 2-3 times to fix but nothing happened) and want to know if should i just upgrade center channel speaker or update subwoofer/other speakers too? B&O feels like shit. I know I have just an ecoboost but will like to upgrade audio, car is fun anyways without the coyote😅 (i know coyote’s are more fun but this is my first sports car)

Just upgrading the sub alone let the other speakers sound better. I think the OEM sub put out a bad resonance that suppressed the entire stereo system as a whole. all of a sudden the woofers in the door had more presence and after changing the front speaker it really sounds good to me, and I have since lowered the bass in the settings because I was getting too much thump on some songs. Bands like Gorillaz sound really good in the car now.

B&O is in name only. Bang & Olfusen sold the automotive arm to Harman International about 10 years ago. Bang and Olufsen retains the rights to license. Consumers are captivated by names.

Did you change front tweeters or center dash speaker or woofers or every front speaker along with suwoofer. What about sound deadening?

All I did was replace the sub with the Pioneer 10” and the center speaker with a nice 8 ohm replacement. Look up my thread that shows what I used. I just posted it a few weeks ago.

I didn’t go deep with sound deadening or anything else.
Wow thanks for the guide, Ill try myself to fix it. Regarding the sound deadening, the reason behind is sometimes the driver side door trim/ dash trim rattles when sound is increased to 12 even with bass set to medium. And I started facing this issue a month after I bought the car.

I don’t know if sound deadening like Dynomat would solve a rattle. Sounds more like a loose screw or clip. Personally I’d try to solve the rattle by isolating the rattling panel or trim …and if it’s loose clips, just secure with small tabs of 3M double sided tape. Just enough to lock in the panel, but not so much that the panel would be too difficult to remove if needed.

Ok let me try that. I have an update on the rattling issue, it even rattles when sound is of silent exhaust, it only does not rattle when window is open, maybe the wind from window surpasses the rattling noise. If i push hard on the door panel and hold the trim either with my elbow, the noise is reduced or sometimes stops. Its been over a year but it hasnt fixed yet

Good luck! You know sometimes assembly line workers throw some random item in the door just to mess with people. Years ago I had a friend who had a rattle in his door that was driving him crazy. He opened it up and there was an empty soda can inside….lol.

But in your case I think it’s a loose clip…everything is plastic. Might be a broken clip even.

I covered the sub enclosure with Dynomat. I don't hear any difference. I'm now exploring various subs to replace the stock sub with. (BTW, thanks to a generous owner, I purchased a center channel replacement speaker: Pioneer TS-A250D4.) Although slight, I hear the sound improvement,)

The most popular sub replacement is the Pioneer 10”. You won’t notice a huge difference but for some reason the other speakers will sound better. Reasoning is the OEM sub puts out a bad resonance that was stifling the other speaker frequencies. Personally I noticed a brighter sound and more bass, not from the sub, but from the side woofers in the doors.

I went from Disappointed in the stock B&O system to damn happy with the overall sound….just from changing out those 2 speakers.
