Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

The stock B&O system in the DH sounds OK when the engine is off and you are siting the vehicle. With the active exhaust "ON" driving on country road at 45mph you actually hear more engine and tire noise in the cabin and to overload it with music you must increase the volume up so high that your ears are getting killed. It does not matter how many speakers there are in the vehicle, but in my opinion while driving the sound is mediocre.

I just listen to the engine with the radio turned off when I am driving. I did not buy the DH for the B&O and the silly 12 speaker sound. ;-) I wonder just how much the speakers and all the wiring increase the vehicle weight?

Ford's electronic sound enhancement system ("ESE") plays specific frequencies through the speakers to make the engine and exhaust sound more "spectacular" - unfortunately at the expense of the music that is played.
That system can be disabled with Forscan. Don't make the mistake to read all threads completely, there ar some trolls around.
Just turn it off and see if it's better for you. Can be turned on again if you liked the augmented sound.

Thank you Fruitstang. I just looked at the ACM data and the ESE is enabled. I will have to change it. BTW-I also noticed recently while playing back video and audio from my webcam I doubled the speed of the video in a section going up hill at 45mph while up shifting gears and the engine sound was more like a Ferrari and not a Mustang sound and that was very strange. Ford should allow the owner to switch it off via the config touch screen. We do not need video game car sounds effects added to the V8 engine.
