Driver or passenger side? Ford Performance offered a passenger side in teh s550 models. But changed to driver/passenger side in the S650. What gives

They used to sell just a single right side (dirty side) for the S550.

I have the UPR version on the passenger side only. When I ordered, they had an updated version that has the cannister able to slide on the mount. Easy to clean and looks good.

Do you have strut tower to strut tower brace?

I do, makes UPR difficult to clean.

I have a J&L because I don't want that crap going back into my intake system and back into the engine. Easy to install. It's just peace of mind. It's there, I empty it now and then, I don't worry about it.

I'm Not sure this is in the right forum, but it's close enough. Is a catch can worth purchasing and installing, or is it just a gimmick. I got a lot of money tied up in my Dark Horse, and if that catch can will help extend the life of the coyote, them I'll get one on it asap. Thanks for your input.

The short answer is yes, completely worth it. It just designed to catch any extra oil from re-circulating back in to the manifold.

I'd say more of a maintenance item versus a life extender but the two could go hand in hand of course.

I have the Ford Performance air/oil separators on my 25. I installed them at around 1000 miles and just for fun I checked them at around 1300 miles and there was a little bit in the passenger side and none on the driver side.

got the same. only passenger's side catches oil. Driver's side is always empty but you can still see some oil spills in the can's wall. I assume if you regularly track the car it will also catch oil there. It's a good investment. Also I notice your coolant is getting darker (doesn't look like the bright green/yellow) ? lol . I recently opened a post about that.

I I have the Ford passenger catch can from my last S550. Anyone know if its the same can used on the '24 + kits? And can I use the factory hoses to install it?

$250 is either the wrong product or a scam advert. But I could be wrong. I used my points/online coupon and got it for $400 on the Ford accessories website if that helps

Maybe a stupid question, sorry: if I were to buy the J&L for example, there's only one model. Does it not need different hoses for the different sides?

Looking at the picture of the official Ford kit, they look different, as do the brackets...
