Do you think that this Is the date range in 2023 that the order banks could open? They coincide with the debut of the Mustang at the worlds fair. April 14, 1964 to the press and April 17, 1964 to the general public. This range seems to be in line with the "available summer 2023" claim. Just speculation and hope lol. Cant wait to order a 7th Gen.

I really hope it's earlier than that, but I think that is a solid guess. I heard rumors of January somewhere, but I think that's probably early.

I did some research. Apparently they can start selling 2024s any time after January 2nd, so the only thing stopping Ford from opening it early is 2023 sales and retooling time I suppose. 2023 Mach 1 Handling Package doesn't start until March 2023, so I still think April is probable for 2024 orders.

It's an extreme example, but Ford increased the price of the Lightning by 30% over the last year, and, twice in the last few months. We saw one or two surprise increases in MY 22 for several Ford models.

When your order is placed, ask for a formal Purchase Agreement, discuss Price Protection, deals, etc. Whatever you can to give confidence the price at time of order is the price you'll pay at pick-up.

April seems late when they are saying them being available in the summer of 2024
as long as the factory is making them a couple days prior to Sep 21st or so it's "available in the summer".

Marketing is lies, lies and more lies. Why do people put ANY veracity to the words spewing out of any company? If their mouth is moving, they are lying.

I'm hoping that is lightning specific. To my knowledge, that hasn't been a thing with GT500 models, so I would think these early S650s would be fine. Especially since alot is borrowed from the S550.

It is.

I'm hoping to let others know that, unannounced price changes can and do happen, so plan accordingly.

In My22, Mach 1s experienced price changes of thousands of dollars; I received Price Protection of close to $3000. Destination charges, due to fuels, went up by a few hundred dollars for all models. Several vehicles and options later became unavailable. Some models were not allowed cash back or other incentives.

I have not had a fun car in so long and am going to finally pull the trigger on a new mustang... I really hope I will not have to wait that far into 2023. Been nearly 5 years since I sold my last fun car.

Also waiting impatiently for order banks to open.

I am an expert on not having a fun car in a while and then buying one. After a couple of decades of absence from the fun, i picked my GT up in January, then a few months later another sports car and am trying to decide on the next one.

I dont think you would lose much money, if any, if you bought now and swapped it when the new one comes in.

Then you can have a great self reference of driving vs driving by iPad.

Interesting, reading the 2023 Mach 1 ordering thread, no one has been able to order the HP. Dealers are telling people they aren't available. Wonder what that means for the 2024 timeline.

There are references in the order guide HP production will be available in March of 2023, due to the tires. Could be just general dealer confusion as to why some buyers cannot place HP orders.

I'm not sure how it will display on their screens this MY. When I placed my order, GBM was "late availability", among several other options for the Mustang in MY22. Late availability was undefined. My dealer and Ford accepted the order without issue.

In an average MY, Ford has produced 10,000 Mustangs a month. Towards the end of MY22, Ford had let all the HP bits pile up, then began cranking out HPs.
