In 2027? No way, we’d have official press releases by now… 2028, still highly speculative but possible i suppose.

I frigging love the idea… a high RPM 5.4 with a 3.8 whipple with BOSS track capable suspension would be a GTD killer…. Maybe even a ZR1 killer, for 100 and change all in.

To be frank I am having a hard time in believing this will happen. A 9K rpm production Mustang motor is a pipe dream in todays reality.

If it’s as speculated I see the car as pointless. The DHSC already exists. If it comes with a TR6060 manual option now we’re talking about something that more unique to differentiate it from the DH SC. Like the last gen GT350 and GT500, two diff driving experiences

Given the price of the DHSC, I don't even care about this anymore. Yes, I'm salty, LOL.

It's hard to say, it doesn't seem likely to me. Stangmode is more credible than AI channels, but only just. He has proven contacts at Ford like some designers he's had on his channel, so he has insider connections. But that doesn't mean much.

I'm trying to think if he's even been right with these sorts of vids.

I like to disassemble things.
Actually, he's not far off.

I learned of the program almost two years ago now so this not something new, it just hasn't been shared. Code name is Project Blackbird.

I can't speak to the name it ends up with but the idea was a high revving Coyote variant that took advantage of a displacement bump to 5.4 liters. Both a DCT and an upgraded TR3160 were part of the initial plan but I'm not so sure the DCT will make the cut - it depends on where this fits into the existing product line mix as the inclusion of a DCT bumps price up somewhat. Manual gets an improved shifter from their current supplier. I thought this might have been a late '26 offering but it made sense to hold it back until 2027. I suspect there'll be a marketing tie in with the upcoming hypercar's 5.4 if not the current GT3 car.

Well… I’ve also heard about project blackbird, but no specifics, so that’s 2 i suppose, I was thinking a TTV6

I’d sell my car if this was 100% coming down the pike, I’m sure it would have an updated fascia etc..

Do you even think it'll even be worth it by the time it's eventually revealed? The dork horse sc is already pushing 150 for the track pack and I just don't see it being a hot seller unless you have undying Ford loyalty when you can get a z06 for 20k under sticker.. Unless it's reasonably priced, it's doa imo and can never best a 350.

No idea on where Ford will go with pricing after what they did with the DH SC...

It would be the modern GT350 replacement that people had been clamoring for, stickshift, high revving bespoke engine.

there would be an “R” variant for sure, even if it’s a different name, and that would be the exclusive one I bet.
