Little update šŸ™ƒ

Ordered a wireless charger take off.

- I am slowly turning my car into a premium lol, next thing will be the premium screen.
Wireless charger has been installed successfully in my 301A package 🫔 it was indeed already wired just tucked away. Regarding overheating I’ve been using it for several days now and it does not overheat at all. It gets a little warm but that’s the same as charging with a cord. Phone: iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Very happy with my purchase. I have a silicone mat being delivered hopefully in the next 10 days.

As @erasat mentioned it came pre loaded with the forscan settings, just needed to update the BCM line: 726-59-01

I now have ordered a Premium Screen which is also going to be fully plug n play as they are basically monitors and that’s it lol.

I’ll update yall once it arrives with the install and how it turns out.

Yeah, with the Homelink Sun Visor, OEM Leather Seats, Illuminated door Sills (without light because no pre-wired), Premium screen and the Wireless Charger, my 300A group PP looks like a Premium one so I'm good with that.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you may have gotten screwed on that display if the information on parts.ford.com is correct....

Full one piece display at parts.ford.com 586.95

I initially had the same thought process, I went to a ford dealer and asked for the part and they said that was the incorrect part and the correct part is actually $1,500 MSRP and they sell for $950 through that specific dealer and there is a core charge which would bring it to $2,000

Right on then! Good to know, and glad you found a deal on it! šŸ‘

I remember back in the day when I used to do the ebay thing a lot, people wouldn't even bother to check the new price on something and would then get into a bidding war and end up paying way more than they would have if they just bought it new from a reputable vendor.

Yep! Glad that I did as well, I actually bought the display from the same seller that I bought the wireless charger from specifically because of the smooth process and how it wasn’t sketchy etc. looked exactly as described. And agreed a lot of people won’t check. I will admit I don’t know if the dealer was telling the truth and was just trying to upsell but I just wasn’t willing to risk throwing away $600 for nothing you know? Plus they showed exactly how they got the display:

Wow, you don't see that too often.
And yeah, I hear ya on the throwing money away bit. Everything's getting so expensive now days that you really have to pay attention and try to find a deal wherever you can!

I ended up doing the HomeLink visor and got both visors from a car the guy was stripping down to build into a race car. I've seen some guys got theirs for $50 or $100, but I still felt pretty good getting the pair for $180 after checking the new price.
