I just want to confirm if all zeros will eliminate it if it did then I can revert back and try each at zero to find which one is controlling that splash screen

but if all zeros didn't eliminate the splash screen then there should be another address to do it not the same one that removes the chime
Probably it will. But again. Your car might think you don't have any seats if you choose that route.

That's why some people deleted it with all zeroes and some people did it with just the adress we tried to do.

I won't keep it all zeros I want to confirm only it will eliminate it then I will revert to

IPC 720-13-01 "8xxx" "xxxx" "xx--"
IPC 720-13-02 "xx1x" "xx--"
IPC 720-14-01 "1xxx" "xxxx" "xx--"

then I will change each X to 0 one at a time until I find the one that controls the splash screen

I totally understand what you are saying. But you don't understand what I'm trying to say.

It's the language I guess. Let me try with my best English since it's my third language.

If you change to all zeroes you might eliminate the splash screen. But that way of eliminating the splash screen can come with other side effects.

Just an example.

1. Splash screen on
2. Splash screen off
3. No seats available

1. Is how the car comes from the factory.
2. Is what we actually want to do.

But because we can't go for 2. You are now trying option 3. And yes, option 3 might work. But that's not the way you want to eliminate the splash screen.

If you choose for option 3, the splash screen is not eliminated, but the car does not read that it has seats, so the splash screen will not pop up.

At least for me. I don't want that. I want that my car still reads my seats. I only want to eliminate the splash screen. So for me it's either option 2 or I will keep it like this from the factory.

English is not my first language as well so sorry if I didn't understand your point before :D

but yea now I get it I don't want 3 as well it's either 1 or 2 as you said

Unless you are regularly transporting children, it unsubstantiated that using zeroes has any actual “side effects”.

Show some actual evidence and we can reevaluate

I have zero evidence.

The only thing I know is that your way of removing the splash screen is not the way I want to do that because it can have side effects. That's it.

Since other people removed the splash screen without tricking the car reading that there are no seats, I want to have it just like that.

Making the car not read the seats is not something I want to do since this car is one big computer that works together with different modules and what not. I don't want to risk that tricking the car not reading the seats can bring up some safety issues in some specific cases.

So, I've been watching this thread for a few days now, particularly the posts regarding the seat belt splash screen...

I'll share my original as-built configuration as well as the changes that I made, all of which, so far, appear to have the desired effect without telling the car it has no seats.

My original as-built looked like this:
720-13-01 F100 0001 002D
720-13-02 0120 005D
720-14-01 2000 0000 005C

What this is telling me:

720-13-01 Fxxx xxxx xxxx
Belt minder chime operator, Belt monitor chime cfg, Belt monitor chime operator, and R1C1 Belt minder chime cfg are all enabled.
720-13-01 x1xx xxxx xxxx
R1C2, R1C3, R1C4 belt minder chimes are disabled.
R1C5 Belt minder chime is enabled.
720-13-01 xxxx xxx1 xxxx
R1 No Bench
R1C1 is a fixed seat with belt minder.
720-13-02 x1xx xxxx xxxx
R5 No Bench
R1C5 is a fixed seat with belt minder.
720-13-02 xx2x xxxx xxxx
R6 No Bench
R2C1 is a fixed seat with belt monitor.
720-14-01 2xxx xxxx xxxx
R2C5 is a fixed seat with belt monitor.

Anything that was originally zero is irrelevant because it means the feature is already disabled or the required equipment is not present.

What I changed:
720-13-01 0000 0005 002D
720-13-02 0550 005D
720-14-01 5000 0000 005C
And what each of these changes mean:

720-13-01 0xxx xxxx xxxx
Belt minder chime operator, Belt monitor chime cfg, Belt monitor chime operator, and R1C1 Belt minder chime cfg are all disabled.
720-13-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx
R1C2, R1C3, R1C4, and R1C5 Belt minder chimes are disabled.
720-13-01 xxxx xxx5 xxxx
R1 No Bench
R1C1 is a fixed seat without buckle sensor.
720-13-02 x5xx xxxx xxxx
R5 No Bench
R1C5 is a fixed seat without buckle sensor.
720-13-02 xx5x xxxx xxxx
R6 No Bench
R2C1 is a fixed seat without buckle sensor.
720-14-01 2xxx xxxx xxxx
R2C5 is a fixed seat without buckle sensor.
Basically, the buckle sensor is what tells the computer that the seat belt is either buckled or that it is not.
The result is that these changes do not imply that there are no seats in the car, but simply that there is no switch in the seat belt buckle to tell the computer whether the belt is buckled or not.

Sooooo.....
What would need to be done is look at the as-built data for your specific car, compare it with the spreadsheet, and for each non-zero value set it to "0" for disabled, or "5" to indicate the seat is still present but that it has no buckle sensor for the seat belt.

Thoughts?
Seems to work for me, so far at least.

So the idea is to tell the car i have seat but no sensor to monitor the seatbelt so the car will turn off the splash screen because it will not be able to know if the seatbelt is on or off without the sensor

Is that right?

Yeah, pretty much.
