If you change to all zeroes you might eliminate the splash screen. But that way of eliminating the splash screen can come with other side effects.

3. No seats available

1. Is how the car comes from the factory.
2. Is what we actually want to do.

But because we can't go for 2. You are now trying option 3. And yes, option 3 might work. But that's not the way you want to eliminate the splash screen.

If you choose for option 3, the splash screen is not eliminated, but the car does not read that it has seats, so the splash screen will not pop up.

At least for me. I don't want that. I want that my car still reads my seats. I only want to eliminate the splash screen. So for me it's either option 2 or I will keep it like this from the factory.

I have zero evidence.

The only thing I know is that your way of removing the splash screen is not the way I want to do that because it can have side effects. That's it.

Since other people removed the splash screen without tricking the car reading that there are no seats, I want to have it just like that.

Making the car not read the seats is not something I want to do since this car is one big computer that works together with different modules and what not. I don't want to risk that tricking the car not reading the seats can bring up some safety issues in some specific cases.

So, I've been watching this thread for a few days now, particularly the posts regarding the seat belt splash screen...

I'll share my original as-built configuration as well as the changes that I made, all of which, so far, appear to have the desired effect without telling the car it has no seats.

My original as-built looked like this:

Basically, the buckle sensor is what tells the computer that the seat belt is either buckled or that it is not.
The result is that these changes do not imply that there are no seats in the car, but simply that there is no switch in the seat belt buckle to tell the computer whether the belt is buckled or not.

Sooooo.....
What would need to be done is look at the as-built data for your specific car, compare it with the spreadsheet, and for each non-zero value set it to "0" for disabled, or "5" to indicate the seat is still present but that it has no buckle sensor for the seat belt.

Thoughts?

So the idea is to tell the car i have seat but no sensor to monitor the seatbelt so the car will turn off the splash screen because it will not be able to know if the seatbelt is on or off without the sensor

Yeah, pretty much.

Not sure if this helps, it I did this recently on my ’25 Maverick which has Sync 4, like the Mustang ignore that my profile pic is from my previous ‘22 Maverick).
All I wanted was to have the intrusmemt cluster seat belt screen go away immediately after the front seat(s) is buckled. I didn’t want to mess with any other the things the seat belt system does.
All I did was change the R2C* seats (all rear seats the vehicle has) from ‘2’ to ‘1’. It seemed backwards that it is the rear seats that need changing, but that is all that is needed. Since the Maverick has 3 rear seats, I changed my three R2 values to ‘1’. Doing them one a time won’t get you what you want, has to be all of them.

The point is that the airbags and seatbelts pre-tensioning MAY operates differently (or do not operate at all) according to the passenger presence (on a seat) and if the passenger is wearing the seatbelt. There's no evidence of this assumption, but it's how the modern safety features works. All this things may be in a different module (that couldn't be altered) and we do know nothing about it. But IMO is a way too risky to play with this stuff just for a splash screen.

A few months back I asked you about this Splash screen. You could not give an answer, because you said you didn't care about what it all cancels, since the values you made did what you want.

Great if that works for you and if that is your stance. But you should respect that others do care about what possible side effects it could have. Especially people living in countries where they could get serious problems when disabling safety features and only want to disable these features if they are 100% sure that by disabling some features will not come with side effects that can get you in serious trouble. Not only your own safety during a crash or something, but also to avoid problems with an insurance claim.

So yes, you don't care. I understand. Your car, your choice, but please respect other people opinions on why they are carefull about this until we really know that it will not effect anything.

Which is what I did.
My car still believes it has seats.
However, it also believes that it does not have seat belts.
