I like to disassemble things.
I can already see 20 years from now, convertibles suffer the same fate, everyone wants the coupe, they become tough to sell for the 2nd, 3rd owners and usually end up at quite a discount to market
100% nailed it.

These days auto insurance rates are based on algorithms, part of which is how often drivers of those specific vehicles actually crash or get stolen. Mustangs with V8's are generally cheaper to insure than both camaros and corvettes with V8's, so what does that tell you?

In my opinion, premiums for health insurance should work the same way, where people are rewarded with lower rates who decide to eat healthy and exercise and as a result have faborable measurable lab results that statistically indicate independence from the healthcare system, but not getting my hopes up that'll happen in my lifetime.
Not necessarily the premiums themselves but lots of large companies do give you discounts and incentives for a healthy lifestyle. I also know a few that charge you for "unhealthy" lifestyle, like smoking, vaping and chewing.

The wing doesn't fit the car but I like the color and the front.
Interesting that the GT Performance Package on a convertible includes "Spoiler Delete," but the Dark Horse SC convertible gets that thing. I wonder about actual aerodynamics vs. appearance.

I would guess the convertible top screws the air flow up so much the rear spoiler isn't very useful

That was also my assumption when I saw the spoiler was deleted from the GT Performance Package on convertibles.

Boring people buy cars that make them invisible.

A GT Convertible is the opposite of that. Same 5.0, same exhaust note, same ability to rip, except now the sky is the roof and every drive is an event.

I’ve got one. I drive it hard. I’ve never once felt boring behind the wheel of it.

You can keep the closed roof if that feels safer. I’ll keep the top down.
My wife is definitely not boring, she's an extrovert, but not a wild crazy woman. :) She got her car because she wanted a convertible, loves the sound of the 5.0, and wanted this particular color (Adriatic Blue).

With the top down, the windshield creates a strong stagnation and a large recirculation zone inside the cabin, and that recirculation produces continuous shedding of vortices that travel aft over the rear deck.

By the time the air reaches the spoiler the flow is already fully separated and highly energetic in the wrong directions. The spoiler therefore sees a much lower dynamic pressure and a far more chaotic incidence angle.

So, the physical wing produces only a fraction of the downforce (and the modest drag reduction) it does on the hardtop.

I'm working on the boss already. Now my poor 2026 GT premium convertible sweats every time I approach it. It knows what happened to the 2024. I tell it don't worry she went to a good home. I will be calling the dealer I bought the 2026 from to see if they can get an allocation. It looks awesome. There's nothing about it I would change.

Just not a huge fan of the convertible top, nor the SC badging and hood/exhaust. I was debating a SC when buying mine but just couldn't see the reason to jump 30k on the price tag. Definitely a beast.

That looks like a damn good excuse to buy two SC's. His and hers. Interchangeable.

Adding a convertible wind deflector/wind blocker can reduce much of the turbulence and routes air over the interior.
