I’m actually one of those people who learned to really appreciate the feature which is the front collision detection.

I had it on my last Camaro and it was really very nice.

I have it set to the max sensitivity and with all the bells and whistles. I’ve tried to trick it on” multiple times and I’m convinced it would have let me crash into something completely.
It has trigger 2x by itself in a manner I would consider appropriate.
Does anyone else notice that the thing would basically let you run over a wall before triggering a warning (the dash shows the little warning icons but I’m talking about where it flashes and beeps red).
Thanks

Isn't it part of our job as conscientious drivers to pay attention to potential or impending collisions (amongst many other things) while driving; and to take timely and effective actions to avoid same? Just sayin.....................

I sort of expected these kinds of responses but in reality, I don’t live in a perfect world so I appreciated the technology.
Yes surely one should never have an accident. And a person should always be paying attention while driving. I think that’s clear.
Of course yet somehow…. Someway…. Accidents do actually happen 🤔.
It is mysterious

It is hard to test out, but the one in my wife's Explorer and my Mustang's seem overly sensitive.

I agree. My 2003 S2000 will definitely let me run into things without ever giving a front collision warning, yet somehow I've never done it. Strange...

It will definitely work. One of the activities for Mustang Unleashed is to try to drive into an inflatable car. They have you do it multiple times at about 30mph. Car stops itself every time.

On the road, I have not had my Mustang's alert go off, but it has saved my butt in my F150.
