None of this is help full. No the car is not 8 years it is 2 years and yes it does exist. LouG you should refrain from posting if it it aggressive and wrong. I was looking for help not to be flamed.
You said your car was a 2034 model. He was just making a joke. Relax.

The quite starts on these cars are not very quite. As mentioned you cant really hear a big difference until the initial fast idle kicks down.

Now that I have an H pipe, cold starts are noticeably louder in quiet mode than they were when the exhaust was stock. Cold starts in normal mode are much louder, though, which means quiet mode still "works."

I have my 2034 mustang set up for quoit start in the morning. The settings say it is activated and the hours are correct. It doesn't work. The Mustang is the same loudness as usual. How do I activate quiet start or is it vapor ware?
Allow me to give you something that MIGHT be useful. Sometime back there was an issue with active exhaust cars where they were not respecting the quiet start setting, my car was one such car. Ford issued TSB 24-2047. I know the issue I am outlining below says when a car was started remotely but I had the same issue when starting with the button. TSB, mostly fixed my issue.

The Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) issued by Ford to fix the active exhaust quiet start issue on S650 Mustangs is TSB 24-2047.

The Issue
Owners of 2024+ S650 Mustangs equipped with the active valve performance exhaust found that the vehicle would ignore the scheduled "Quiet Start" time windows. The car would instead default to a loud "Normal" cold start, particularly when using the remote start feature.

The Fix
The bulletin specifies that the issue is software-related, where a glitch causes the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to fail to recognize the quiet start parameters upon startup.
  • The Remedy: A dealership technician must perform a PCM software reprogram using Ford's diagnostic system to update the module.
  • Cost: This repair is covered under Ford's factory 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
If you are dealing with this bug, you can schedule an appointment with your local Ford dealer and reference TSB 24-2047 so they can quickly look up the bulletin and flash the update.

Awkwardly this morning, I decided to drive my 24, and decided to see how long it would take me to get to the Quiet choice. It was awkwardly fast (This is the only time). I got in tapped the start with clutch out, saw the MyMustang button and expected it to do all that loading stuff, but it did not.

it went right to the exhaust selector screen, tapped the quiet, hear the actuator, and it started in quiet mode in like less that 12 seconds..This is probably a fluke, I forgot to try it on my way home.

Usually I have to sit in the on position while it contemplates it’s existence for 30 seconds before I can get to the selection screen, before starting.

The valves are fully open during intial start and quickly closes to quiet mode during quiet start-up.

It's a V8, you're still going to hear it.

Wait until you have catless longtube headers as well. It's NASCAR loud on start.

I've heard other people's cars with catless long tubes combined with Roush, Corsa Extreme, and Borla Atak. All super loud.

I had the same experience recently. Chalked it up to the latest update. The system boot up has been noticeably faster.

Set Quiet Mode to your star button and then it's as quick as "press ignition (with foot off), press star, press ignition (with foot down)".

Ours is set to Quiet start, but will always start in Normal mode, then ~30secs it Later will drop into Quiet. This I believe is normal unless someone knows how to make it start in Quiet Start from the start.

It's probably in quiet mode the whole time. Those first 30 seconds are likely even louder when you cold start it in normal mode. These cars are very loud on cold starts.
