Quiet start

I have my 2034 mustang set up for quoit start in the morning. The settings say it is activated and the hours are correct. It doesn't work. The Mustang is the same loudness as usual. How do I activate quiet start or is it vapor ware?

None of this is help full. No the car is not 8 years it is 2 years and yes it does exist. LouG you should refrain from posting if it it aggressive and wrong. I was looking for help not to be flamed.

1. it was a joke due to your glaring mistake, calm down.

2. the second post is correct, if you remote start the car, quiet mode will not activate until you actually press the button

3. if youre cold starting the car, quiet mode will not engage until the initial engine start surge is done and even then will not be quiet until the car idles down.

This is simply not true. quiet mode 100% works on a cold start. Sure the car is still louder before the initial RPM drop, but it’s just being louder through the full muffler. The pass through is closed in quiet mode. I know this because I use it every single day when I go to work. Engaging track or even just normal from quiet mode are both substantially louder.

Press the start button without pressing the clutch or brake. Engage track mode. Fully start the car.

personally I have track exhaust set to my custom driver mode. So it’s two clicks up on the mode selector as soon as the engine starts up. That’s been good enough for me.

must be a software update my car doesnt have then, every time i quiet start the car cold it pops to track mode during the initial surge before closing the valve afterwards.

You can do those two clicks up before starting the engine for that wonderful track mode cold startup.

All modern cars preheat cats by retarding on initial startup, which makes them extra rumbly. In quiet mode this is still substantially quieter than in other modes.
