Have we given up on a Ford Performance tune for the S650 GT?

I'm sure Ford will not release a performance tune for the GT. Even a mild tune would probably exceed the Darkhorse's 500 HP. That's a company No No. You want 500HP buy the Darkhorse.
I have bought factory tunes in the past for previous GTs in 2013 and 2019.

I think so... FP is probably unlikely to give the GT the same or a few more HP than the DH. Also their tunes are conservative... for 91 octane, not likely to make it worth the trouble for minimal gains.

For me, there was a reason to not buy a DH and I’m not sorry about that but I don’t think it’s fair to NOT make a Calibration for the GT. It’s revenue and any GT owners can make the purchase and have their slight bump in power just as there is a Tune for the DH that could put it ahead of the GT again. Revenue and opportunity for Ford Racing/Performance to gain more money. I sometimes think that maybe I should have continued to find my Spec in a DH but it is what it is. Maybe one day they will wise up and release something for the 5.0.

I just brought home a new '26 GT vert. At the time of the purchase, my sales rep said there is a performance tune available that can be installed by dealers certified to do that and the increase is 100hp over stock. I didn't go into any additional detail with him but he had something up on his screen and was reading from that. He's a car guy so I assumed his info was accurate.

Maybe - maybe not. From his comments, it sounded like something fairly recent. It also surprised me as I thought the ECM's were locked. I'll try and message Dustin for some info. Maybe it's not really a tune but hard parts to get the increase.

I don't think there's 100 horses hiding in a stock GT.

I would buy at 35-50 HP.

Thanks for clearing up my comment. This clears up all the smoke.

It does not appear there will be a tune for GT or DH. Aftermarket companies have them available now. I purchased Palm Beach Dyno tune with RTD4 for my DH. See dyno below. Not saying this

is the best, just that this is the ball park with a non modified car on 93 oct.
