Ford Performance Tune for the 2024+?

According to Ford Performance ... it hasn't made it to their Internal Parts Catalog as of yet, that it's in the Emissions Testing phase and should be released around Q3 (if not sooner). I'm hoping for sooner!!!

I remember last summer they told me the same thing. The difference is that there is actually part #s and CARB EO#s.

True that so it should be sooner than later. Could have just been a scripted response.

I talked to Ford Performance Monday and they said there was not a calibration and the CARB info could be just getting place in line for future certification. No future date given.

Thanks all! Looking forward to the tune from Ford. But if there's something better from aftermarket vendors, I'm definitely open to that too.

Ford Performance will probably beat the aftermarket to the punch other than for the Whipple and Roush blowers.

Good Luck!!! I'm trying to gather enough to cover the Red Brembo's that I didn't get on the GT that I found. All good tho cause my pockets are heavy enough. Lol.

I think mine covers about $270, give or take. I bought my Rap a rear diff cover. for like a hundred bucks-ish?

I actually think FP is behind the curve ball here. Ford Authority quoted Ford as saying there were kits coming for these cars. I for one believe a lot of the slow sales for the GT is the fact the limited amount of tuning if any available.

That's wishful thinking, unfortunately it's more about the price. When I bought my '09 it was during another uncertain economic time and the dealer wanted full MSRP and $5K markup. It had already sat for three months as did five more throughout the valley. I passed.

Another three months later and Ford offered their A-Plan pricing, much like they are doing now. When I inquired if it included a specialty car like the Bullitt they said... (reluctantly) yes. I bought and left with nearly $2K below MSRP out the door! Leaving only two remaining on dealer lots.

When the '19 Bullitt came around I was interested but not at a ridiculous (I thought at the time) starting price of $51K (~56K the way I wanted it). I passed. It wasn't until the '24 Dark Horse debuted that I jumped but at a healthy $63K my wife thought I was insane. However, there was a lot more to the '24 Dark Horse than I would have had with the '19 Bullitt, starting with the TREMEC, making it far more justifiable, not to mention I really wanted it.

A comparable GT only priced about $3K less when similarly equipped but it still did not include the TREMEC (a deal breaker). I saw a higher value proposition with the Dark Horse, preferences aside. Furthermore, I justified to my wife that it will go up (unlike my salary) so the best time to buy was then. What I didn't expect was by how much it would go up and for the '25 model it was steep.

If Ford wants to turn the tide of sales, they have to lower prices or they will abandon their core demographic of buyers. I am okay with Ford reaching into more aspirational territory with some of their trim lines and welcome it but not by sacrificing the other end of the spectrum. Tuning is just a niche. Price is king.

I'd guess around 20hp. FP and 5star s550 tunes are 19hp @6500, 42lb/ft at 2000, and 18lb/ft at 4500. Plus better throttle response and more aggressive shift points. It will put regular GT over 100hp per litre, over 500 total, and more than dark horse
