Ford Performance Tune for DH

Several conversations with Ford Racing about possible Perfotmance Tune based on info from Ford Authority article. He contacted Ford engineering and said they are not working on tune for DH, Reason, not enough margin. So I guess it's looking into aftermarket tune.

I believe they meant fuel/spark. However, since the DH already has larger throttle bodies and CAIs, profit could be a factor! Their 19 GT calibration included the GT350 throttlebody and CAI, and was expensive.

From what I have read in various places, as in the DH - not too much have been gained by just a new calibration so why bother.

yeah i suspect ‘Perfotmance’ might be difficult to find but no news re an official performance tune could be a disappointing mid-cycle refresh revelation.

We need ford to make the DH a 5.2 gt500 block and tune it for e85 optional. Would be a 550hp car . Not sure why they don’t do this.

Because the most recent MY GT350 owners would be up in arms, that's why. Same reason there's not a supercharged 5.0 in the tremor or even the Raptor, because it would cut into Raptor R sales and tank the resale value of the ones in customer hands.

This is dyno runs from PBD. ~$800 with device. Waiting to see E85 tune.

Trust me, that’s been heavy on my mind and the $13,5k isn’t the showstopper either!! Just don't know if I want to go that route. Other than having all that extra HP under the hood, really don’t use the throttle like that.
