Although the tuners seem to be showing there is still plenty of table remaining. A performance ‘tune’ is usually a modification from stock, regardless. If little gt can pick up but the dh can’t are we implying the stronger bottom end really isn’t worth it?
Tuners are tuning the DH and getting power . I’m just talking about FP.
DH internals are more for Forced induction from what I understand . Also maybe better to handle constant high rpm’s at the track.

Fp has a sc kit so yeah maybe they offer a non boost bump maybe they don’t but that in itself don’t mean it’s already tuned to the maxx.

You're comparing a low compression 3v on race fuel to a high compression coyote.... you're quite the special one.
Actually it was an 11.85:1 323 stroker I built.

And you source on this is what, your ass dyno? Have you seen any data logs to back this up?
There has never been a ragged edge tune from any manufacturer ever. Some may be hotter but they all are fat, low on timing, shift points not optimized or hard enough (although my DH in drag mode shifts like a beast as far as firmness).

I reached out directly to Ford Performance and they told me basically uh no. Not happening.

They develop all sorts of parts and have part numbers filed and never ever bring them to market.

and I quote:

Hello Richard,

Unless it is on an official Ford website, I would take it with a shaker of salt. FPP does develop several items, and not all of them will make it to market.”

TTT.

any new information on when this will be released for the S650s?
Vaporware ..... software that never makes it to market

If you look at what the aftermarket has released in the last month or so since the "unlocking" of the computer happened, every last tuner who is writing lines of code have said that on a stock Mustang, there was not any appreciable HP or Torque left in the engine to unlock.

The general consensus is Ford has pretty much wrung everything out of it there is to get, there may be 15 HP left on a 93 octane only tune, and the real benefits of an aftermarket tune are in transmission recalibrations.

Any software Ford would release would have to be CARB or "49 State" (More like 48 since MA has required CARB emissions calibrations for almost 25 years now) compliant, they are not going to sanction the use of long tube or long tube catless headers which is probably where you would see the most gains short of going boosted or Nitrous Oxide injection.

Ford saw what happened to Harley Davidson wrt offering ( wink wink nod nod ) "for off road use only" tuners and they are not about to play that game.

so we are stuck with 1.56 +/- HP per cubic inch, which on a N.A. engine is pretty much all there is when working within the confines of current emissions regulations.

You forgot about the gains on E85 which are ~30hp across the rpm range.
Now that’s worth it!
And the flex takes full advantage of that now with new tables in ecu.

That’s so sad to me- E85 only giving 30 HP.

Coming from a ‘24 WRX- E85 tune over stock with the Flex Fuel Kit gives 70-80 HP sometimes more - and that’s at the wheels- over the 93 octane fuel.

turbo so of course there is that; but still… surprised that’s all it nets.
