You arent paying for typing a single digit, you're paying for not bricking your PCM and being in a world of hurt over warranty concerns when you have to tow it to the dealer for them to fix. And the typical dealer response will be "bad PCM" which they will order a new one and need to bench flash it before you can be on your way. Even though we know it doesnt need it, they will say it does and you will end up with a several thousand dollar bill and a voided warranty. So about that $100...Please don't pay >$100 for this. Takes probably 1 minute, it's literally typing a single digit. You could just offer one of the techs $20 to do it for you after work. Just find a younger looking tech, they'll know how to use computers.
At address IPC 720-02-01, change the 1st digit from 0 to 4.
(There used to be a 2nd change required (720-12-01), but Ford has updated that by default)
