Are there things I can turn off if I know the car is going to sit for a long period of time? I've heard people say to turn off the wifi. Is there anything else that draws power that can be disabled manually?
I've never bothered with that, or disconnecting the battery. A good battery maintainer is a better option. And it keeps all the necessary bits going.

Do they make one that I don't have to plug in? Basically recharge it at home and just put on when I know I'm going to be away for an extended time?

You can premanently wire in a connection that you plug the maintainer into, either under the hood, or somewhere where you can easily get at it.
I had one under my bike seat. On cars I don't bother, just attach the aligator clips. The Mustang is even easier with the aux battery connections.

I wouldn't trust anything you have to charge. Do you not have a power source in the garage?

Easier to disconnect the negative lead if you know your gonna be away (since full time power is not an option).

I mentioned this earlier but I used a NOCO 5 charger and hooked it up properly, the same manner that the roadside assistance guy hooked up his jump starter. Another owner on this thread mentioned that once the battery is completely dead the 5 amp (or even the 10) will not charge it back up unless you disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
I also have the NOCO 5 charger and it has a setting where you can force a charge if the battery is truly, completely dead. I have not used this setting yet but I'm wondering if you tried that? Also, you have to make sure you select the correct battery type on the charger otherwise it will not charge. Did you have it set to 12V AGM? Here is a quick synopsis of the various modes it has:

"The NOCO Genius 5 has several charging modes: Standby, 12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium, 6V, and 12V Repair. You can switch between the standard modes by pressing the mode button. For 6V or 12V Repair modes, press and hold the mode button for 3-5 seconds. Force Mode, for extremely discharged batteries is activated by holding the mode button for 7 seconds."

Yeah I think I'm going to go with this approach the next time I know I'm going to be away for over a week. My only hesitation is won't that reset everything like radio stations, custom settings, seats, etc.?

When I hooked it up it immediately sent to 12V AGM so I didn't have to select it. Not sure if it's automatic or just went to the last setting I had selected. Good point about the forced charge setting. I didn't try that.

I think I'm going to buy one of those NOCO jump starters to keep at home. My wife's car has struggled to start on occasions on colder days. Might come in handy.

What I have seen with my '24 EB vert is that after about 2 weeks of sitting in a garage, the car's features stop working (light show as you approach) and not able to get updates on the Ford app. I then charge up the car using an AGM Battery Tender to full and repeat the process. I work in the garage quite often and hear the car clicking every 2-4 hours while it doing the telemetry stuff. (MY key is on the other side of the house and has been tested to never set off the prox/light show). So I suspect that these 1FAGP8UHxR Mustang models simply have too much gadgetry that requires checking in too often. I've been travelling too much and don't use the car due to that travel schedule.

Unfortunately no. This is an open garage that sits under a four level condominium building. No outlets in the garage. I have to hang an extension cord down from the walkway above to get power. So it obviously very inconvenient.

Best I can figure out is to research a portable rechargeable power supply you can plug a maintainer into. so basically using a battery to maintain your battery. Now where you are able to safely store it is another issue.

The NOCO will remember the last mode used.

The last time i had our battery disconnected for more than 44 minutes (see edit) the only thing i noticed was am radio. For some reason it defaulted to am when i turned on the radio but otherwise all the memory settings were retained. Initially it didn’t know the name of my wifes phone (we didn’t need to resync or anything like that) but it automatically showed the name the next time i started the car. Seat settings, favorite button assignment, and stereo all remained as set.

edit: corrected time from one hour to 44 minutes - since i have pics that show the case.

Picked the car up today. It sat for 4 days and started right up with no hesitation. I still don't have any answers as to why it went dead in a little over a week. They suggested that I buy a battery shut off switch and just disconnect the battery if I know it won't be started for an extended time.

I checked the Ford accessories site and didnt see one. If anyone can point me to one I'd appreciate it. She said one was available from Ford but so far no luck on my part.
